Secret for now but I assure you it's only about 10% welding and 90% something else ...... hehehhehehe

Small holes for Tack welds. Other one temporarily under the angle bar. Will need 2.5mm rod for tacks.

Tapos na. Ang daming mali. Pinaka mali dapat pag pagod na and inis na tigil muna. Nawawala ang relax na welding stance.

Pangit din pala pag salubong ang weld. Dapat continous walang tigil kaya lang mas malakas sa warpage. 1/2" plate na nag warp pa ng konti.

Sa kabilang side hindi pwedeng pakita nakakahiya. KB.

Wala pang bakal pang test.

baka sobrang taas ng amp setting mo kaya nag warpage o sobrang bagal na nung travel mo? kasi makapal na ung plate mo at mabilis na lumamig yan. ano amp settings mo po?

grind mo na lang ulit kung gusto mo pagandahin mabuti, para ma practice ka mabuti hehehe

Ok na ito. Pang bend lang naman. Matibay pag ka weld. Sayang oxy ace kung weld wash ko pa.

Pwede rin die grind ko mga inner welds. Ma test mga carbide burrs. Doon lang medyo pangit. Sa labas ok naman.

Pinagsasalubong ko kasi welds. Dapat single run. Next time alam ko na.

i cut my 13mm drill bit because of the chipped portion on the edge.

and now ready for the drilling action on my bender's jig to your Drill Press 😀

Simple task even made simpler and easier with a bender. 13mm round bar. I could have just bend it all the way into a single piece cable holder but my bar was not long enough. I had to use two short ones which was what was available.

Hey guys, I would like to share something or infos to all the metal boys and the future metal boys regarding this metal bender though I haven't made one yet for myself.

Ok, this past few days I've been surfing the net and came across youtube videos on metal bending, I just don't know if some of you have seen it but nonetheless to other metal boys interested in welding will find it so interesting and very useful as what sir ossie said of his metal bender which makes bending metal faster and easier.

In these videos they show different kinds and styles of metal benders, benders for small and large pipes, for angle bars, flat, round, square bars and even tubings. Simply great videos, very inspiring and very useful, a must to see for us interested in metal and welding. 😎

Guys simply type on google Metal Benders and Metal Bending then enter/search and lo and behold, the infos and videos on metal bending. Hope you enjoy watching as I did.:p 😉

thanks for the info and sharing about googling about the metal bender in the internet.
actually, the idea was came from there and we made our own version - Poorman's Metal Bender hehe.

yes, the bender can bend pipes/tubing, angle bar, flat/round/square bar, etc. but a die set is needed in bending pipe/tube and square, and will cost you around USD300. and we are working for cheaper cost of die set locally.

Jay's version of bender is really strong, durable, and nice looking compare to my version 😀

we can request to Jay to post his model metal bender here as what i did in the other thread (WN), if, he have time to post it and his modification and suggestion for future builds of PBB (Pinoy Bakal Boys).

Hey ossie , you know what's nice about this bender thing is that you made a version, a simpler version calling it "POORMAN'S METAL BENDER", now Jay made his own version of yours and did some improvements, and who knows I may make my own version and might improve it some more or maybe some one from the metal boys doing welding too might also make his own version taking it to the next level.

I now realize how practical and useful this bender is, it really makes bending metal alot easier and faster. You see I'm also working on a metal project that I would like to share with you guys but stopped because it entails bending 6 pieces of 16mm corrugated steel bars, maybe I'll improvise for the mean time so I can bend these 16mm's. Its no joke bending these steel bars cause I've done it bending 60 pcs using only improvised bender, the type used by construction workers assigned in metal bending.

My only point in sharing the videos to be watched is that all of us interested in welding and doing metal DIYs can surely benefit from this infos and be it an additional gadget or tool for our metal fabrications.
