Yes brad, why put some strains in our backs if we can make adjustable stands or welding tables in terms of height suited for our ease and convenience and not following the standard norm height.
I myself find it difficult too when welding, cutting, or pounding metals when in crouch or in stooping position.

@Bro ... I can't agree more with what you say. Definitely cutting while standing up is superior.
I come to a tedious part of the wip. Metal cleaning using wire brushes after the rust converter had cured.

Almost done now ...
I doubt the paint will stay like this for long. I'm sure some will scrape off the first time I insert the extensions onto the receiver tubes. Anyway paint was applied for possible rust protection rather than aesthetics.

I did not cover the open threads when I spray painted. Payback time ... i need to clean these all now.
This is the proper tool to use. A re threader ... it does not cut new threads ... it can only clean existing ones.
All bottom threads cleaned and the casters installed also.
These I will use spray can paint ...

AHHH, looking at this pic reminds me again how very useful this metal bender is really in a metal shop and made me wonder and ask my self when will I ever start and finish my own metal bender version. 🙁
As of now I still do manual bending or clamping with vises round bars or flat bars the hard way but I guess I will get there too when I finish other pending metal projects posted. :jump:
