So I just remembered the color coding of metal products from the hardware stores.
And I assume this is fairly common as I have interviewed barangay people who were taught by local engineers how to select the quality metal reinforcements for their community infra projects using the color codes (usually painted at the tip)
IIRC, we have YELLOW, RED, and PINK (???) with YELLOW as the right quality, the rest are "sub-standard".
Anyone familiar how bad (or good) the RED or PINK one are?
I used RED coded square bars for one of my window grills before.
ayon sa bibliya ko nung kolehiyo:
Grade 230 - white
Grade 275 - yellow
Grade 415 - green
Weldable grades (W) - red (in addition to the above grades)
Quenched & tempered - silver
Yung grade nya daw po e yung yield strength na nung steel bar (230 MegaPascal (MPa), etc...
