Hi metalboys, ask ko lang how to do you cut small stainless tubes using only hacksaw.
Nung makaisa umayaw nako.

Do you have technique guys for cutting small tubes? Thanks.

Re: Cutting small tubes

Bro Armand,

Go to Wilcon Depot, just in front of SM Masinag and get yourself a 4" angle grinder, Black&Decker
or DeWalt then fit it with a DeWalt thin cutting disc for stainless steel, solve na problem mo.

Don't worry about other uses of the angle grinder, pwede rin yan sa woodworking, so hindi rin masasayang !! 😀

Hope this helps !! 😉

Re: Cutting small tubes

Thanks bro Rosy and bryant..looks like a hacksaw is not the appropriate tool for this very simple task and getting a disc grinder is the only option to cut the tubes.

Im not giving up though...will try to innovate something.:D:D

armand, is that thin-wall stainless? try using 24tpi hacksaw blade. you may also try lubricant. i always have some kerosene in a spray/squirt bottle handy...

or perhaps a higher quality blade?

an angle grinder is one of the most useful tools to have around the house. mine is just a cheapo KCT or eagle i'm not sure. you can use a diamond wheel with it to cut/grind concrete. cut/grind steel. tons of uses

jus be careful w/ thin cutting discs. quite dangerous when they shatter
