Re: DIY Speaker Wall Bracket

Faaaabrication! So the hinges are a means for the speaker to swivel/tilt on the x and y axis and then lock it?

FWIW, the manufacturer on mine recommends that the speakers are 3/4ths the distance from each other as a speaker is far from you, as the speakers and you make a triangle. It's on page 4 of the owner's manual, here: http://www.paradigm.com/products/paradigm/bookshelf/monitor-series/atom-monitor (Dunno if it applies to all speakers - sir timb?) I can tell you it sounds noticeably different when you do leave the sweet spot area. I made mine ideal when i'm working on the bench.

Pardon the wire clutter, haven't fixed it with wire cladding (dunno the real name/description) as pictured in the foreground yet.

Called it quits and just got mounts (meant for LCDs) at cdr-king, but bolted it with better screws than what's included.

so you're using atoms, I like how they sound, powerful little speakers. Each manufacturer does have different recommendations on how to max each model, but there are several that is common to most speakers. 15 degrees to the center is a common recommendations or even the 3/4 rule. but in reality, it all depends on your available space. Harbs rec. 1mtr from the back and 3/4mtr from the sides (space I don't have) so I just use what I can...
so many things affect sound besides speaker placement(even toe in and the like), reflection is another factor that gave me headaches before...
as they say, enjoy the music, it is what is important 😀

Another audio enthusiast on the forum, interesting...just like timber, enjoy the music. The more you read and go deeper into technicalities, the more you understand how wrong you are and take away what's more important - enjoying your music.

In audio, I believe the saying "Innocence is bliss" applies well.

Re: DIY Speaker Wall Bracket

@owyn, timb, jarod,
nose bleed ako sa mga sinasabi nyo hahaha

@owyn,
thanks for the insight. im thinking to put set screw on the swivel arm joint as lock, as the bracket might vibrate when Pamulinawen start to play 😀

this bracket is for my brother for his Sony's 2.1 speaker - i like its sound output (in or out the house) compare with his JVC's 7.1 .
