Hi,
Im planning a DIY Computer desk but i dont know where to find materials for the legs.
Does anyone know where to buy steel pipes, flanges and casters? or can i also substitute PVC parts instead of steel??? thanks
Re: DIY Steel Pipe or PVC Computer Desk
I searched for these items a couple months back. the casters you can buy at any hardware store, the steel pipes at any plumbing store (but they are pricey depending on the length). The hardest to find are the flanges. The only place I found floor flanges is at Alonzo St., Binondo. They're like P100 a piece (forgot the size). If you're going with a real industrial look, steel over pvc for sure.
Re: DIY Steel Pipe or PVC Computer Desk
Thanks for the info. ill make sure to the flanges 1st so as to pair it with a comparable diameter of steel pipes. i also prefer steel pipes but if availability of parts will be a problem, i might need to look into PVC's. ill post a feedback once i get a chance to go to Alonzo St.
Thanks a bunch 🙂

BTW, any recommended stores that sell steel pipes for this purpose???

does anyone know which stores can thread steel pipes and sell it with custom lengths?

try your local tubero...
PVC is kinda brittle so it's probably a bad idea
and steel is kinda overkill for a computer table hehehe IMHO. right now i'm sittin in front of a custom computer table. i designed it but a carpenter built it for me. has a slide-out for the keyboard
