your preferred diameter times 3 = the length thats your piece to be cut.. then gradually bend until end to end meets....e.g. if u want to make a 12inches diameter circle you just cut your bar 36inch lenght then bend it manually.. you don't need die tools for it....easy way!

When I was a kid, I use to make basketball rings by putting round metal bars on top of two 2x2 wood (maybe 2-3 inches apart) them hammering the metal between the wood. The metal would bend slowly until two ends meet to make a circle.

This was how our local welding man make the ring.

You've been doing this since you were a kid bro? I salute you I think you are one of the true handyman here in PHM... unlike some of us here specially me for example I'm all books... a mathematician and a 1st placer in the EE board exam. But not until about two years ago when I decided to make my hands dirty and do it all hands on.

But not until about two years ago when I decided to make my hands dirty and do it all hands on.

Started when I was like 8 years old. Fixing my own bicycle. Making my own wooden wagon without a saw. My tatay isn't into what I'm am doing (but he did not discouraged me) so we dont really have any tools except for some basic pliers and adjustable wrench.

I am not an expert though because I did this out of necessity not as a hobby (although I really like tinkering with a lot of things).

Growing up I like to be an engineer. Mother discouraged me because she is not really confident I can pass the UPCAT (really??? I was a UP highschool honor student, FFS) and she really wanted me to pass UP to avail of the free tuition (both my parents are UP employees). We're not rich so I really have to be in UP to be able to continue studying.

To make this short, I just let out my frustrations being a handyman. Creating (and destroying) things hahaha.
