and started cutting ...
By the way for angle bars I always buy the locally manufactured ones. Not undersized and hindi malutong. Easy on the carbide blades and on the welder.

When using stop ends I could easily cut ST or AB metal to repeatable sizes all day long if needed LOL

I need to build these frames quickly. In the absence of right angle clamps I have to make do with what I have thus did some experiments to make the fab quicker.
LOL ... they were using the welding table for auto work prior to this and I forgot to remove the plywood top before setting up.

I have a lot more frames to make but it's not good to have the plywood so I removed it . I will set up again before I continue welding.

Tack welds inside grinding ...
I could use air tools and carbide burrs to do this faster but then I would have to wear full protective gearing and it's a bit warm here in the garage. So I settled for grinding stones which requires less safety wears.
I prefer the PFERD made stones. Well worth the price paid, Durable and dependable.

Today I got chance to try the Steel Demon reciprocating saw blade ( roughly around 200 pesos per pop ). To make a long story short I'm now switching reciprocating saw blades from Milwaukee to Freud Steel Demons.
Just like any other tool the reciprocating saw has a bit of learning curve. There's a reason why it is variable speed specially when cutting metal which require slower speed. Going in at full speed on metal is a sure fire way to wreck a metal blade.
It's the feathering touch on the recip saw to control speed that needs a bit of practice. Other than that just correct blade entry and at times some lubricant will do the trick for proper metal cutting.

Hindi ko pa ma justify cost ng plasma cutter bro sa mga ginagawa ko now dito sa shop. Pero mini band saw pasok na and next year dadating. Malungkot pasko hindi makaka abot toy ko.

Wouldn't you like to try using stick for a change para mahasa ka rin sa welding process na yan ? Might also come out cheaper. Anyway, just asking...... hehehe 😀

I'm sure I will be a lot slower bro if I use stick welding. I purchased some 1/16 rods pero wala pa sa akin. Suppose to be here already but shipments are delayed due to port congestion and to prioritize relief goods for victims of the super typhoon. If I get this before I finish the project I might try stick welding.

Exhaust works and repairs are just one of the few jobs that a mig welder will shine. Very easy to do.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a track saw then just get a circular saw and build a sled then buy 2 of these Pony Spring Clamps.
For repetitive sized cuts specially on sheet goods then the Table saw is a good tool.
