i discovered this finding when we were building the trusses for the room extension...one big hardware was selling 320 a piece of angle bar and the other hardware just opposite that big hardware is selling the same dimension of angle bar but its only 200 pesos..so naturally i bought from this "cheap" hardware and later to find out that the angle bars were difficult to weld..the steel man told me "aserado boss yung nabili mo...mahirap iwelding...parang ayaw kumapit..tsaka iba ang tunog"..hmmmm pati pala tunog ng bakal kabisado nya hehe...

i dont know if this is true.

Looks like there's truth to it.

For flat bars I seldom buy the standard ones now a days specially if strength is an issue for my project. I have these cut from sheet metal thus are as per my specs instead of being undersized.

Oh by the way I have to pay a bit more for these.

huh? pero sa mga grandmaster katulad ni oz eh single solution primer na gamit hehe..mas ok pala yun at ala na timpla timpla pa unlike the galvacoat.

mahal siguro isang quart ng anzahl primer nuh?

btw..before ba i primer, need pa lihahin angle bars?para mawala yung gray-black oxidized part? di ko na yata kaya yun..

napansin ko, mas madumi kamay ko sa metal working than woodworking eh...tsaka kangawit mag squat...pero cutting the angle bars i preferred the metal bars down close to the floor than supported by saw horses or vise clamps on a table.. ayaw ko na mahulugan ng bakal uli!

eh oz, madali ba tumigas yung special 6013? pag ginamitan ko kasi ng chipping hammer mga slags eh natatangal yung weld...

masyado mababa doc malamang ang settings mo kaya hindi nagpenetrate sa bakal (assuming na grinded or malinis yung metal na iweweld 🙂

how is your toe tsk tsk ingat lang doc. think safety first before action and use safety glass always any kinds of work mahirap na mabulag ...

here some info for special 6013 2.5mmm setting on welder i have this 10 kilos 6013 one box is 5 kilos i already consume one box and the other box is already less than 5 kilos na ewan ko na lang kung di pa ako natuto hahahahahhah

hey Jay very very late reply na ito hehehe marami kasi activities hehe yap mas maganda gamitin ung acrylic lacquer thinner mabilis din matuyo kaya pag nagtimpla ka ng epoxy primer kailangan ubusin mo kung hindi with in 24 hrs namumuo na ung epoxy primer

hey Jay very very late reply na ito hehehe marami kasi activities hehe yap mas maganda gamitin ung acrylic lacquer thinner mabilis din matuyo kaya pag nagtimpla ka ng epoxy primer kailangan ubusin mo kung hindi with in 24 hrs namumuo na ung epoxy primer

Thanks bro. Meron din bang pang top coat na Epoxy. Type ko sana yung finish na parang Galva Coat din. Hindi ito makintab and masyadong makinis. Kung blue lang ito hayaan ko ng ganoon kulay ng compressor hahahahhah

jarod kasama yan pag bumili ka ng epoxy primer in 1 gallon 3 liters ung primer and 1 liter for catalyst imimixed mo yan pag gagamitin kaya kailagan ubusin lahat pag nagtimpla ka sayang maninigas lang pag di inubos...

epoxy enamel puedeng i pang top coat, kaso makintab or very glossy, hindi flat, pero durable din...

if you want it flat, ang alam ko lang flat black ( laquer type ) meron, don't know kung merong ibang kulay...

Matagal yata matuyo yung epoxy enamel. Mag pa mix na lang ako siguro ng Acrylic ( color matching ) tapos clear coat ko na lang.
