I think there are other sources (junk shops) that could offer the same. In only prefer to get what I need from Al at a junk shop price.

AL Metal is very near my shop about 15 minutes away Bro Rosy. That store is my favorite metal shop source because you can buy shorts or cuttings by the kilo for a reasonable price. When you get to the shop i will show you some of my favorite metal and junk shops where i go "gold hunting". Sometime back i chanced upon a good compressor set worth 35k but paid only 10k 'coz of a broken air pressure regulator switch. It was a TOSHIBA TOSCON 5HP model. I chanced upon it and bought a good pressure control switch for P700. It's now serving my job sites very well.:)

Ika nga eh strike 2 birds with one stone, we have two reasons for the EB, one is to see and learn from bro WillyF's wood shop/monster machines for the wood workers and the other one is metal hunting galore for the bakal boys. :cheerleader3: :win:

Bro JayL, What size of gauge 14 do you need ? Usually metal stores don't sell tingi of this kind, the smallest size you can buy is half the sheet of a full 4' X 8'. You can buy that half sheet and just keep the unused portion, I know you will still have more metal projects in the future where you will eventually use it, what do you think ??? 😉

When I finish the chop saw stand I planning to build my metal rack bro. Probably I can add a storage for sheet metals cut into smaller pieces.

Here are the prices I got :

Full sheets

2.3mm x 4' x 8' = 2,350 pesos ( 12 ga )

2.0mm x 4' x 8' = 1,980 pesos ( 14 ga )

Once they cut into half the prices go abruptly high.

In my price comparison full sheets is the way to go if one has a prepared storage space for unused metal. Can also share with other members who need smaller pieces only.

Meron silang plansa. Wala lang cut into pieces na plantsa sa Al. Kasi wala daw silang acetylene. Kailangan ko rin para sa welding table ko.

There is one junk shop at Concepcion area that could cut into pieces. Nalimutan ko lang name. I think alam iyon ni Boss Willy. Madali rin itanong when we get there.

Boss Willy. 15 mins away lang shop mo. Saan ba address mo Sir? Malanday lang mga parents ko.
