Brad, how I wish I have something concrete to say about the Nihonweld weld machine, first of all I don't have that unit and have not the chance to use one para maka tulong sa iyo but perhaps we can wait for some reactions coming from bro vcrinfo, one of our members here who purchased the said brand of welder recently.

Sorry bro coz most of the metal boys here uses Yamato DC Inverter stick welder. 🙂

Hi Bro Rmdair & Rosy,

I've only used my Nihonweld sparingly and only stick welding for now. But I have bought the unit with the optional TIG kit already. So far it's doing well and smooth operation compared to an ordinary AC arc welder which i was using for years before. I haven't notice any sudden increase in my electrical consumption lately which i do when I use my AC arc welder before. The TIG is yet to be tested because I haven't got argon gas yet. If you are nearby Marikina you can visit my place and have it try yourself on a weekend if you like. The unit is so light and can easily be carried anywhere. I haven't encountered any over current warning yet so far. Connectors and cables are excellent because they are Rilon brand. I believe this is not Nihonweld brand originally because they just placed their sticker brand name on top of the original brand which i don't want to find out yet by removing their sticker because it might void its one-year warranty. I've searched for quite sometime and I would say this is the cheapest DC Arc and TIG combination there is the Philippine market, but definitely not of inferior quality.

thanks vrcinfo at rosy! ngayon ko lang nabasa mga replies nyo! di ko nga mabili bili ung nihon weld kc wala ako basis kung ano mangyayari sa pagpurchase ko at least ngayon meron na! go for nihon na ako!:)

how much is the damage? where did you purchase? whats the power requirement? btw where are you in marikina? i live there

i'm from bulacan sir! wala pa sir damage next week pa pero tumawag na ako dati sa kanila and they said it was 6k+ for the machine without the tig attachments!

When I bought my nihonweld on 9/1/2012 it was P7,345. Tig attachement P1,334.

HEY bro vrcinfo,

Have you tried using already your welder, not necessarily the one with a Tig attachment but just the Stick mode. I 'm interested too with its performance coz aside from the YAMATO 200 amps DC welder that I have, I am also again in the market but for a 250 amps DC stick welder.

Is the Nihonweld machine you got a 250 amps or also a 200 amps welder.
