I've been planning and conceptualizing about this table since early last year and did some rounds already of the junk shops and hardware stores around our place canvassing the materials needed and the cost that will be shouldering for this build since I have already in mind the possible design and how it will come out. Then after a few months of tinkering with the idea of the table project, finally decided to push through with it.

Before I used to do my welding projects or stuff on a large wooden horse or work bench but got tired of it because I would always burn the surface or top of the makeshift work bench. So I started gathering the necessary materials or parts needed piece by piece from several junk shops.

Since almost all its parts will be sourced out from the scrap yards near us, hmmmm, I said to myself, making or assembling this welding table will for sure not be a breeze. It will entail long hours and process and preparations since the needed parts are not brand new and directly not sourced from hardware store. To start with, the table top armoured plate panels that I got, were already rusting and the edges were still very rough due to oxy-acetylene cutting proceedure, the 3 X 3 X 10' angle bars were also rusting on the surface with some peeling paints and the 4 X 4 X 10' H-Beam needs to be cut into 4 parts as the tables legs and needs also to be wire sanded to remove some rust and peeling steel primer paints. Other small detail parts, I will just source it from hardware stores already. The wheel casters, I found the right size I was looking for lately at HANS'Tools, a trully heavy duty kind that can carry the full weight of the welding table.

I have here some images of my welding table build, a sketch up that I have done a few months back with the help of my son who worked on it in the computer, I just gave him my final drawing on oslo paper with all the necessary dimensions on every parts and from there it was already a breeze. I had this sketch stored in my computer files while I was just working little by little de-rusting the major components of the table and still thinking what additional features will I add or remove from the original design, but for now I would like to share it as is and will show different angles of the table and hope you will enjoy looking at it coz I myself was amazed with its outcome. Though I have not yet started assembling the table coz I 'm still in the process of de-rusting and squaring off all the major parts of the supposed table build.

Then also have to finish my welding PIPs and finish also the metal bender project and two more lamp post arms and brackets that is very much needed.

Here are some images of the welding table.

Here is a bird's eye view of the table top construction.

As it is being rotated upwards.

The front side view. The table measures 41" X 84" and height will be 36" maybe plus.

And the underside view of the table.

Some more images of the welding table :

A three fourths view of the table.

The back side of the table.

The last two images are the right side and the left side.

Hopefully I can finish my metal projects soon so that I can start with this heavy duty welding table. Maybe there will be some more changes while in the process of assembling this table.

Re: Rosy's Heavy Duty Welding and Cutting Table Build

wow..very nice design..looks heavy talaga. The steel plates table top alone is super heavy na yan..much more on the 4 H-beam posts. I like the idea of the small table being adjustable ang height.

Goodluck rosy on this build..subscribed na ko dito.

Thanks bro Armand,

The small table on the left side ( color orange ) is a rotating table that can also be adjusted in height and also be removed.

The small plate on the right side ( color green ) is where I will attach my vise or the metal bender that I will me making too. Its detachable also.

AM glad you liked the overall design.

Sir timbs, hindi naman social ang pag gamit ng oslo paper ah, we have been using that since highschool days for art projects and art sketchings and even during my college days , we always have them by pads used for life drawings and landscape sketchings which can be purchased at National Book Store or any art store.

You can also google search Heavy Duty Welding Table Builds , then just click the picture or ( larawan ) and from there you can get some more ideas on how you will make your welding table.

Re: Rosy's Heavy Duty Welding and Cutting Table Build

Bro VIOLAINE,

Yes V, The ihawan grill at the end of the table will be used for cutting metal or plates using Oxy-Acetylene torch or maybe a plasma cutter, but in my final assembly of the table, I will discard the idea and instead put another armoured plate panel so that underneath it, I can build some steel drawers for like vise grips, welding clamps, welding rods and other welding tools. :p

I have discarded the grill idea because I have already made a separate metal cutting table which is 36" X 36" and about 1 meter in height, and this table will serve also as my welding positioner that can be rotated and possibly tilted.

V, sana naintindihan mo pinag sasabi ko, he he he he he 😀

Wow! A heavy-duty gurney with miter slot, barbecue grill, mouse pad, monitor stand... 😮

Peace, rosy! :foryou:

I mean, wala nang hahanapin pa sa welding table mo. Its got the works!

Lagyan mo na rin kaya ng makina para self-propelled na? Looks pretty darn heavy. Baka hindi mailipat ng pwesto yan maski may caster wheels. :p

Re: Rosy's Heavy Duty Welding and Cutting Table Build

@ ARMAND,

Bro, sa mga comments mo na yan e lalo mong pina bibigat welding table ko. he he he he , lol lol lol lol lol. 😀 Thank you very much bro for you encouragement.

@ joey81,

HE HE HE HE HE, kaibigan, don't give me wacky ideas, I might just do it, install a motor cycle engine para madaling imove around if the need arises. Siguro gagawin ko syang remote control ang mga wheel casters, LOL, LOL. :jump:

@ RYOBI,

Bro thanks, he he he he . bro sa sobrang bigat nitong table hindi kuna kailangan ng forklift, may nai suggest na si bro joey, kaya lang mas gagawin kong hi-tech, gagawin kong remote control ang wheel casters para madaling emanipulate and move around., lalagyan ko na lang ng 1SM car battery and remote control switch. ha ha ha ha ha !!!!!!!! 😮 :p
