Re: Welding Newbie

cannot round end to end, maybe because of the hole gap of 1 inch per dowel, little less than of an inch is much better

a little hammering job

Re: Welding Newbie

Why do metalworks still fascinates me everytime I get to see a project.

I miss my Don Bosco days where I get to do metal works with lots of metals and enough tools. I just hate the metal filings that pricks my fingers :p

Very good project Ossie! I like your works recently, hope to see more of your projects!

*Pwede bang pakibawasan lang yung mga arc welding pics mo, nangiinggit ka lang lalo eh 😀

Re: Welding Newbie

Ossie,

Pardon my question about your metalworks:
1) Could you post a picture of your welding equipment?
2) How much electricity expenses would the welding works would cost?
3) Does it need separate wiring from the mains for the machine to work or does a regular outlet would do?

Thanks!

You suck award pala yan project na yan. I hope samahan mo naman ako minsan sa junk shop na suki mo to get some materials. I could use a bender too. He he he

Anong size ng mga butas and how thick yun mga flat bar?

I flap wheel sand na yan and/or kaya pinturahan ng epoxy paint para mag mukhang orig na.:)

Re: Welding Newbie

ayan na ayan na!!! nagtatanong na si jarod hehehe bibili na yan ng welding machine hehehe

@jarod, ok lang yun sir
1. im using Creston 200A, same like this but this is 250A
http://www.acehardware.ph/Acehardware/index.php?p=140&subcat_id=143&product_id=8958&brand_id=0
2. nag add lang po ng Php500 to Php700 yung electric bill ko
3. i prefer you you have a dedicated outlet for the machine, sa page 1 ng thread na ito, naroon yung setup ni Jay

i dont like Creston Welding machine kasi maingay at laging galit, i once used the Yamato Welding machine, ang ganda gamitin at tahimik

advertisement hehe

Re: Welding Newbie

metal bar size = 1.5 inch(width) x 10mm (thick)
holes depends on the size of your dowel, mine is 13mm
if you are going to put holes, make a gap of less than an inch 🙂
ill paint it using red oxide since yung yung available primer paint ko hehe

engganyuhin pa natin si Jarod hehe

Re: Welding Newbie

pre... May patutunguhan yang ginagawa mo talaga..

Kung si Timber ang Master sa wood works, baka mahalal ka para sa metal works, ngayon palang saludo ako sa tyaga mo (no drill press?) pero maayos parin yun kinalabasan..

Creativity is the master of all craftsmanship, and you're definitely on the right path!

Cheers! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Re: Welding Newbie

just want to correct this, by researching, additional jig is needed to make this eye bolt 🙂 without hammering job hehe
