Those are nice clamps JayL. So as Bee said, where and how much did they cost?
Bosch I was told is the only maker that has a variable speed grinder which would be great when you want to go slow and easy.

Yes the variable speed is a great feature plus it maintains constant speed at a given setting even under load.

Had some chance to practice on basic metal cutting. 1" x 1" angle bar 4mm thick.
Abrasive saw cutting is not so true and accurate plus a lot of burrs on the cuts.
Burrs cleanup using angle grinder. I'm beginning to like the light weight and variable speed of the Bosch.

I'll try to weld these bars later and see how heat affects metal and the corresponding warping issues.

Yes the same body style but runs at a lower rpm and is loaded with a carbide tipped metal cutting blade instead of an abrasive wheel.
I called Makita and they have one for around 24K. Ouch
This saw is still manufactured in Japan.

I also found out today that metal wire mesh ( 4mm) are only sold by 4' x 20' & 6' x 20' size. Much like plywood.
I just have to use scrap sheet metal for the top as I don't want to buy a whole mesh.
( 5/64" thick / 14 gauge)

I would have preferred a circular saw to cut this to size but I don't have a metal cutting blade yet. Planning to get one later.
I had to do with what I have now. A jig saw with a metal blade.
Slow but I finally cut the sheet to size.
