Wala akong masyado nagawa. Naglinis and testing kasi ako ng mga pullers.

Pero naka pag cut din ako ng dowels.

Ayoko na sana ng me dowel catch kaya ganito mga dowels ko kaya lang tatlo lang meron ako. Ilan bang dowels ang kailangan?

3 dowels ok na yan, pero mas maganda meron ka pang extra just in case na merong mawala hehe mas maganda yang ganyan naka counter bore para wala ng catcher pa, sakto naman yata yung grove ng dowel mo sa kapal ng metal bar? kung lagpas ng konti sa butas mas maganda para hindi dumaplis habang nag be bend...

Nag pa sobra ako ng konting allowance.

Balak ko din gawin mas malapad yung flat bar nung stationary portion para mas stable patungan pag nag bend. Yun sa YouTube video mas malapad din.

Mahirap mag hanap ng ganitong dowel. Track rod ( rack end ) ng Lancer GSR kasi ito. Pag bago mga 900 pesos and isang dowel lang magagawa. 😮

Yan pa lang flat bar and 3 dowels. Super bagal talaga akong mag WIP. Halu halo kasi ..... o kaya pag nawalan ng Internet Connection tapos lahat yan .... 🙂

Hindi ba meron yung movable side ( yun me handle ). Meron din yung base side ( nakabolt sa table) .

Sa ginawa mo parehas lahat size ng flat bars ginamit mo.

Ano kaya kung mas malapad yung sa base side kasi doon nagpapatong pag mag bend na.

i think its the same thing, but of course kung mas malapad mas maganda at matibay mas lalo na kung makapal, in totality -its almost the same po.

yup, same size din yung ginamit ko kasi yun lang talaga ang available sa junk shop na pwede natin gamitin, merong mas malapad kaso manipis na sya.

Got chance to continue with the bender and practice some skills building.

I marked the flat angle bars with 1 inch spacing and punched the markers. Soapstone is good to use for metal markings. I think P5 each.

Took it to the drill press and bored some guides using a milling bit ( the same as those used by Timber for countersink holes in wood ). This will ensure that my drill bit will not walk when I drill the pilot hole.

The pilot hole. 5/32" Dormer bit. Very sharp and tough. Dry drilling, 550 rpm with constant pressure.

Now for the twin flat bar. No need for markings as I can use the first bar with holes for guide.

Notice that the second flat bar is not straight. I will correct this one temporarily now using a vise but should compensate again during assembly.

I use coolant when drilling because the hole is deeper considering the first flat bar is on top.

Cleaned the holes for burrs so these bars will lie flush with each other when I go for the final hole size.

The bench grinder is the second most used tool in my shop after the air compressor. It's good to have one. Just make sure you buy Showa brand wire wheels because these are well balanced. Using unbalanced wheels will make the grinder vibrate resulting in poor performance and premature tool failure.

Now I have a problem. I measured the dowels' diameter and it requires a 14mm drill bit for the body and 12mm for the smaller end. I don't have these drill sizes 🙁 and will have to go out and buy some.

Buti na lang ni remind mo ako. Reduced shank kukunin ko para sigurado kasya sa DP ko.

I'm not sure kung milling bit tawag dito. Can somebody please confirm and correct if necessary. Mini end mill yata.

Oo nga kanya kahit extra step gumagamit ako nyan.

Palagay mo me 14mm & 12 mm Jobbers Lenght kaya na drill bits available locally? Sigurado mas mahal pa ito kesa sa bender :(.

If I am not mistaken the Metric Dormer set goes up to 13mm only and is not available on stock since several months ago.
