this is ok as long as the chopsaw is working. if ever the switch failed me again and its still under warranty - i will not let it repaired, i'll request for replacement instead 🙂

regarding the leadscrew, its only photoshopped, it just happened that it looks like rust or something 🙂 "A picture is worth a thousand words" ika nga hehe i just highlighted it with that color coz im inquiring if there's a screw like that available locally.

high expectation lang siguro ako kaya ganun, coz my bosch angle grinder really exceeded my expectation. (tapos susundan pa ng brother ko na, di ba kakabili lang nyan?) hehehe

good thing may warranty for parts and labor 🙂

was talking to Golden after having the chopsaw repaired. Would you want the switch replaced? I too was told the full story during the time you brought the chopsaw for repair. I also informed Golden about the rust in the hold down screw in your saw...

It's the dies that make it costly. Other parts are easy to fabricate.

Looks expensive to me. I saw one at LYS hardware with a stand and more dies for roughly same price range.

pero ang dies nya ay wala sa hinahanap mong 2", di ba yun ang kailangan mo? yup, dies talaga ang nagpapamahal. nakapag try ka na magtanong sa machine shop? mas makakamura ka siguro pag nagpagawa ka ng dies sa kanila

ano nga pala yung LYS at mga IIRC ba yun nababasa ko? hehehe

Based on the small research I did before buying my ADH, it looks to me that Generic ADH are all more or less the same and sold under different branding. Most lenses come from several Chinese manufacturers. .

The difference between the good helmets is found in the quality of the product as controlled by Big Name Branded vendors. This quality difference shows only when an ADH enters the $200 starting price range as the sensor count start to increase to 3 instead of 2.

If I am to spend 4,500 pesos locally for a Helmet I will go with a Jackson because of the name. I will bet that they at least will protect their brand as they are well known in the welding world.

All said I spent $55 on a helmet for now with thoughts of upgrading later to a Miller Performance or 3M Speedglass if and when I go for a Mig Welder.

Just my 02 cents thoughts on this subject.

Yeah looks like the magnetic ground clamp will be very useful when a welding table is available.
