Re: Welding Newbie

I have two shocks so I can get 2 handles. Thinking of a short one and a long one.

I can Tap the hole so the handles will be removable. I think I have the correct size.

@Ossie

Ikaw na kaya bro mag welding muna nito pag na fabricate na. Walang wala akong practice ala pa kong ADH. Baka pumalpak sa finals. Anyway pakana mo naman lahat ito 😮

Rubber grip na lang siguro sa handle para medyo tumaba lang. Ang bigat ng shaft solid na solid.

Re: Welding Newbie

ok lang, basta nagawi ako ng Manila at nakauwi ng maaga from site daan ako dyan, prepare mo na lang lahat including pag bevel. i dont think i can bring my ADH since its too big for my compartment, and my mc helmet is always in my Givi box when parked at the site.

im at Resort World on Tuesday and Wednesday, hopefully matapos ko yung work before lunch - then punta ako shop mo.

Re: Welding Newbie

@ Ossie

D naman nagmamadali. Pa sundot sundot lang kasi busy din ako. Baka next week tapos na fabrication neto.

If one wants faster work in metal working .... get a chop saw. Metal cutting flat bars and the like is a bitch without this. Kaya lang ang laki ng price increase. I got mine for 6,700 pesos and Ossie I think 8,500 already.

This tool below will also be good for marking lines.

Re: Welding Newbie

Nagawa na ba yung bosch chopsaw ni ossie? kala ko sablay yun?

@jay,

balak ko gamitin 3 x 3 angle bar for my bar clamp rack...have had bad results kasi sa wood...papatungan ko ng wooden planks, mga 4" lapad dun kakapit jaws ng pony bar clamps..what do you think? the angle bars will be fastened to the concrete wall using expansion bolts.

i am organizing my woodshop and i needed plans for this and that...esp the tool cabinet...too many tools on the floor now..cant wait to hang all of them neatly.

tia

ps

mukhang superheavy duty bender mo! har! har!

Doc

The SO tap and Die set really cost me an arm and a leg plus a back tooth. However few good sets go to the bigger sized 24mm which I need from time to time.The dies also have a special feature allowing the user to still adjust the size within a certain parameter. I might sell it also because I have an interested buyer already.

The vise is 5" Quick Release Record model SQ5.

Re: Welding Newbie
