Metal price as of today 😀

@Jay,
how much is Nihonweld 6013 3.2mm 5kg in your favorite hardware store?
got mine for Php400 for 5kg. pls see pic below.

made the overhead bracket storage for incoming metal and for left over long metal.
builds came from scrap and available metal on-hand.

what we bought in Pasay is the 6013 2.5mm rod, Php700/5kg.
just want to know if the price is also the same.

they (my favorite hardware store) dont have 6013 2.55mm rod

maybe coz Ryobi bought the 6013 2.5mm for Php600 /5kg at Binondo.
i dont know about the 3.2mm rod size, if its also the same price around Php700 /5kg, we have cheaper price here in my place.

Huh what incoming metal? Did you purchase new?

Maybe the metal drilling skills are improving a bit. Proper speed computations, proper drill bit choice, proper pressure, proper pilot hole size etc...

The shavings look better now ....

Do you guys have a good technique how to avoid the weld crater at the end of the weld run?

Here's another run. Crater is smaller but still there.

you can try the ff, and lets also wait for others advise.
- try to decrease your amperage setting
- maintain good arc distance before you lift the rod, and lift it quick
- stop before the metal edge
