I just saw in HMR Pioneer this oxygen tank. It cost around P130. I believe theres 3 in there earlier after coming from your place. I was the one who bought your drill press.

ambabangis nyo mag-welding!!! grabe, may ganto palang forums sa pinas! tagal na ako naghahanap ng gantong online community! since 2005 naiisip ko na mag-aral mag-weld, ngayon after going through 110 pages of this thread, itutuloy ko na ang balak ko. nag-enjoy sa mga post sa thread na ito. i'll be buying yamato dc inverter from mimi g in the next few months. another one bites the dust!

Good for you brad, you were able to stumble upon this pinoy site, the PHM community, a very friendly one indeed. If you have interest in welding or metal working then go for it, you've got nothing to loose but more to gain, an additional skill will eventually be more advantage to anybody than non at all. :p

Andyan naman ang reliable supplier natin ng Yamato DC welders headed by Ms. Mimi G. of Industrialsupply143, so GO GO GO, get one unit, learn how to weld and have another skill. 😉

OH by the way bro, have you introduced yourself yet ? It would be nice if you could give us some info about your self, your hobbies, interest, what you do, family, where you are from etc, etc , things like this though nothing personal. i am a nobody though :cool:. just another handyman na stuck sa isang desk from monday-friday because my line of work is in I.T. like you guys, hindi ako typical na office boy or professional na ayaw marumihan ang mga kamay. i have a volkswagen beetle too, and nakapag-DIY engine teardown na ako at brakes maintenance. it is always fun doing stuff like those.

I always wanted to learn and do welding. i see it as a hobby, work of art and profession. actually meron na akong ebooks on welding before stumbling upon this site. meron akong haynes manual, welding for dummies and arc welding instructional videos. very informative! kapag natuto ako, i'm sure mapapakinabangan ko ito dahil mahilig ako talaga magkalikot sa bahay at ng mga bagay bagay with nuts and bolts. meron na din akong naisip na projects tulad ng ginawa ng mga fellow bakal boys dito, tulad ng patungan ng washing machine, ref, gas range, gate locks at kung anu ano pa.

maraming beses na din akong nagmo-monitor ng prices ng welding machines sa ace hardware at handyman sa robinsons malls. ang mamahal! then nakita ko nga post nyo about yamato. eto na yun!

BTW, may marerecommend ba kayo store for quality welding tools and supplies like clamps, vise, slag hammer, welding magnets, hacksaw blades, files? preferably around manila or q.c. area. isama nyo na rin ang taps and die set. 😉

Ayun naman pala bro, welding machine na lang kailangan mo, if you have these ebooks, manuals and some instructional videos to help you get started, then go go go na for the DC weld machine and start practicing. You won't regret learning this skill !!! 😉

Yes that is right bro, welding machines sold in mall hardware stores you mentioned are quite expensive plus all of them are AC welders lang, well what do you expect, mga middleman na sila. Eh yung source natin na Industrialsupply143 ay direct importer, that is why prices are still very fair and affordable. :p

Yes, bro JayL is right, there is Panda Construction Supply, they have a store in Binondo and another one sa may Araneta Ave. If you are from QC or eastern Rizal area, the Araneta branch is near you, and if from Manila, then there is the main store at Binondo.

With regards to some C-clamps, try to avoid the KYK or Lotus brand, yes they would easily break, not good for heavy clamping based also from my experience, though I still have some, but would not be buying them anymore. Check out these brands, Nicholson, Stanley, Wilton, Draper or Rigid, they still produce good quality tools.

OK. Who wants auto darkening helmets? Lets see if we can pull enough buyers for a group buy and check if we can get a good price from Edward at Panda. He has a China Made one he was recommending to us. One that is backed up with good warranty support. I'll check the specs later but V & I saw this already.
