Midwest carried by Panda, Prosnip by Nationwide Hardware. Both US brands manufacture very good aviation snips. Prosnip are NOS as new ones are probably Made in China now since Irwin took over it.

I really need to DIY repair the garage door before rust fully takes over. .

What's the best solution? Just take out the rusted parts and replace. Any good metal treatment for the inside during repairs. I'm sure it will rust again because it always gets wet specially that it's near a faucet. tks

V its really nice to have you back after quite sometime. I guess work has been keeping you away from wood. The other day I visited Nationwide Hardware to pick up some tin snips. By chance I mentioned the Makita thicknesser and Heidi mentioned you right away. Seems like woodworking doctors are really rare.

I wish I can let go the faucet but its used for watering the plants and washing the cars. 🙁 I'll just have to live with it and probably repair the door with thicker metal.

Yeah sometimes I feel I'm making my age show with my tool choices. Even oxy ace welding is a little outdated now. Most go with plasma cutting.

Looking forward for more post and pics from you.

it might be better Jay to have the chain fixed on the wall instead of the table. at least when the table is lowered it wouldn't dangle around... nice work as always...:)

I'll keep that in mind. Work benches more often that not don't stay as is for long. Modifications will be made sooner or later.

I'm planning to hang some useful clamps on the wall too at the back of the table.

I have heard of it and saw some youtube demos. One contractor I know says it works. However I was hesitant to try it because it lacks control for amperage settings. Even the AC welder I have now which has different preset settings is proving to be inadequate. I'm planning to get a DC inverter type welder to get more control.

i got this for the next balikbayan box. its much cheaper but more primitive

i am looking at the youtube videos... The comments are quite hilarious... cant blame the commenter. The youtuibe vid producer used a cardboard sheet as a face shield.... 🙂

i will be buying this.. for jig making lang naman and perhaps household repair.

DIY install of outlets for the new folding tables ( I'll build another one on the right side but with metal table top for welding use, slightly lower to accomodate the chopsaw). 30A capacity from a separate breaker tapped from spare underground cables. Hirap mga butas ng semento .. buhos kasi dahil malapit sa poste. Run was just short so I did not call Bosch anymore to inquire about their power tools trial offer ( jack hammer maybe ) . 🙂

Phelps Dodge is a good wire brand.
