Polgas 13,
Learn first the basics and techniques of SMAW ( stick welding ), if you feel comfortable with using stick welding, then you can proceed to GMAW ( mig welding ). FCAW is just using the Mig machine without the use of shielding gas ( argon/Co2 mix ). Still lots to be learned when using mig, the machine itself, kind of applications for certain positions and angles and the thickness of metal to be welded.
GTAW is a different story and approach to this is very different from Stick welding and Mig welding. Simply learn each process one at a time if you have the funds and the time. :attack:
CHEERS and good luck !! :goodluck::whistle:

Ang alam ko sa TESDA bago ka kumuha ng GTAW kailangan muna ng SMAW..
Mag enroll sana ko TIG class di raw pwede kailangan daw mag daan muna ako stick welding..
Tama bro bugel, sa Tesda, Meralco Foundation and perhaps other welding classes, one will have to take Smaw first before jumping to other welding process like Mig (GMAW) and Tig (GTAW) . I have known OFWs with welding experiences or jobs abroad doing Mig or Tig would come home simply to enroll to TESDA just to be able to get certifications.

If u wish to work in australia you need to learn all welding process including cutting process using oxy ace and plasma cutting...simply take a smaw course in tesda then after look for a company who looking for apprenticeship....need to master first the Smaw by applying on thick and thin sheet metal...you dont need to pay for training in tesda if u want to learn fcaw go to hanjin shipyard in subic they will pay u for your training...learn mig welding apply apprenticeship in automotive industry such toyota and honda...learn combination gtaw and smaw apply apprenticeship in keppel shipyard they will pay u for your training...good luck sa career!
