Yes friend V, I guess they can arrange that, naka pag padala na nga sila sa other members from different locations, like Baguio, Pangasinan, Laguna and others. Yung mga units na pinaayos nina bros Ernie and Ding, I think delivered nila sa office, mind you V," REPLACED WITH BRAND NEW UNITS PA" Just get in touch with Rhen or Joseph S to make some arrangements.

Also V, EY Industrial Supply Inc. recently gave PHM members additional 200.00 pesos discount from the previous price discount of 5.8K for our continuous patronage of their YAMATO DC Inverter machines. Well there are also several brands of DC inverters in the market now that you can choose( ang dami ) but prices are double or triple and not even sure of the after sales service EY gives or offers the PHM community.

My unit has not bogged down on me yet after more than a year it was purchased (KNOCK ON WOOD ) and almost everyday of use, so that means the quality is holding up well.

Hi guys im a new member here.. I would like to ask you guys about the yamato inverter type.. Is it 2 in 1? smaw and gtaw? Have anyone tried using 6011 welding rod for root pass with that yamato inverter? Thanks in advance. Im planning to buy a portable smaw n gtaw machine to practice 6g welding.

^^stick welding machine lang po yung yamato dc na worth 5.6k kay EY....mayroong ding tig ang yamato...18k ata yun.

tried it with 6011 1/8...ok naman mejo napupundi ko lang kung minsan dahil mas mahirap kontrolin kesa 6013. tsaka suspetsa ko eh basa ata yung nabili kong 6011.

If you will scroll down the index page just below the Gazebo Forum is the MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS, can you tell us somethings about yourself, perhaps you location too and line of work, it seems you are into welding and metal working base on your first post. Thanks in advance bro !!!

Now to answer you questions, well the YAMATO DC Inverter is only for SMAW and not for gtaw but it can be used with 6011, 7018 and 7024 electrodes. Yes I have tried using the 6011 and 7018 rods for a root pass but still needed some more practice. If you are planning to buy a 2 in 1 weld machine, search ka sa sulit.com, maraming available, kaya lang, expect it to be more expensive. 😉 🙂 :rolleyes:

Some members here purchased Nihonweld 2-1 weld machine, for smaw and gtaw usage, but you will have to spend extra for the Tig attachments like lead cord and regulator. Hope you don't mind me asking but what is your budget for this type of 2-1 welder ? Since unit welder starts with 8K going up excluding the attachments. Rilon brand has one too I think as well as the Fujihama brand. There are also the surplus brands from Australia that carries this type of welder, like I said just check out sulit.com

Well lhannz04, it may not be the best stick welding tutorial you will find but I tried to make it very simple, simple enough for everyone to easily understand and follow. The way I wanted to learn also.

Hope you are learning or getting somethings out of it, stick welding really needs a lot of practice and understanding plus some hand and wrist control. I just don't know how you've been with your welding practice or exercises but its better to be good at being able to deposit a good weld bead/s. I think too that you should do a lot of this exercises 'coz long and continues weld bead applications came from being able to learn and master depositing weld beads successfully.

Oh by the way when you start your metal projects in the future and start assembling each part, this is what you will be doing, applying tack welds on each joints to initially connect/join your metals !

Have fun and enjoy practicing. Don't forget to wear your safety equipment (PPEs). 😉

Hi there V. Lestat,

There are three brands that I can recommend and I can consider them as good quality machines, but first of all what amperage are you considering for your intended usage (personal preference), is it 160 amps, 200 amps, 230 amps or 250 amps. I can recommend one Korean made and the other two are China made weld machines. 😉

These machines will all be DC Inverters, not AC machines !! :fetch1:
