Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

@ JayL, @ jonathanscruz,

Mga bro, they have enough stocks, sufficient enough to cover our number if we make a trip to their warehouse for the group purchase.

HAHAHAHA, HINDI NAMAN PO AKO MANGKUKS ANO !!

I just laid down on the table the advantages of having a weld machine in the house, even a 200 amps will suffice, how useful it is and the advantage of knowing the skill, even though this unit is just a stick welder, it can do a lot of repairs and maintenance around the house. Who knows maybe a few years after acquiring a unit, you might want to upgrade to another level for bigger projects, then there's the MIG or TIG machines out in the market.

Knowing or adding another skill under your hat is better than non plus it does really have many advantages. :2thumbsup:

Now a days and age, having plenty of skills have become very important and an advantage. 😉

SO GUYS, CHEERS, we are on the right track. :attack::chopper:

I do agree on you brader. From my past sheet projects, I always fell short when there is a need for metal support fabs requiring welding.

Now my SWMBO ordered me to organize our garage to give way to my "new" lifelong hobby. I believe, starting the basic on this trade will help us more...

Buti na lang, my recent commissioned project do not require welding he he he. Personal "office style" table ng friend ni mrs. Bad thing is, I am hesitant to share because, only 5 of 20 pictures left due to corruption. OT na ako. Let's proceed...

Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

You all went to contortions trying to justify this to SWMBO? I didn't have to.

She noticed how my son likes doing small wire sculptures with copper wire and a soldering iron and thought "How can we further cultivate his talent?" Of course, I mildly suggested that we can get him a small welding machine. Yahoo!

So, let's buy na before the winds of fortune take a different direction!

Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

@ balarila,

Ding, you are so blessed and so lucky to have a wife, very supportive of your son's hobby and yours as well. But buying this stick welder may not fit your son's intended application, you said he likes soldering iron wires and doing small wire sculptures using copper, pre, may I suggest instead of getting the DC Stick welder, get na lang the YAMATO 200AMP DC TIG Welder Inverter. Bro, this is the right welder for your son's hobby and you can also use this as a stick welder. This machine is a dual purpose machine.

And for your boat's " FIN " application on stainless steel, a Tig welder is the best tool to use, it will give you very beautiful weld bead appearance much much better than a stick welder application.

Bro Ding, you have a treasure there in the making, cultivate your son's talent, who knows you might have a sculptor / artist in the family, support your son's hobby and encourage him to also buy some books on wire/metal sculpture to hone more his hidden talent.

CHEERS AND HAVE A PLEASANT and SAFE DAY AHEAD. 😀 :cheerleader:

Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

Wow. That's 3x the cost.

Will take my chances with the stick welder muna. My son is looking at flat bars naman so should be weld-able. Also, if he decides this is not the hobby for him, it will be a cheap tuition fee.

Salamat, Mr Warlock! 😉

Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS UPON THE REQUEST OR SUGGESTION OF BRO JayL...................

OK GUYS/BROS, all names listed in the poll survey for the purchase of the YAMATO 200amp DC Inverter arc welder have confirmed of their interest to purchase this machine. Final date and time has been set on the 19th of May, this coming Saturday.

We will meet at the seller's warehouse at 10:00 am to 11:00am for the group purchase. Address of the warehouse is: #172-D, D.Tuazon Ave. cor. NS Amoranto Ave. Q.C., some landmarks to guide us to the right direction, if you are coming from Manila, take Espana Blvd. drive straight to Welcome Rotunda then straight to Q. Ave., if you see the SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, that's D. Tuazon Ave. already, find a U-turn slot where you can go to the other side of Q. Ave. then when reaching the church, turn right and just drive straight. But if you are coming from EDSA, may I suggest to find an alternative route or side streets, avoiding the intersection of ARANETA Ave. and Q. Ave, there's heavy traffic ahead due to the construction of the tunnel. Now WHEN YOU REACH THE CHURCH and D.Tuazon Ave.,turn right and just drive straight, the landmark here will be the GOLDILOCKS Resto food chain, you will pass that a few meters and you will find a steel gate, color is brownish mauve with the nos. 172-D, that's where we will purchase the YAMATO welding machines.Simply buzz the doorbell and the security guard will open it.

I have notified already the seller and gave me an assurance that there will be stocks readily available for the PHM group buys so no need to worry.

For those guys/PHM members also interested to purchase this weld machine and join the group buy, you can still list down your names in the poll/survey so that I can call the seller for additional stocks.

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!;):p:cool:

Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

What's the thinnest piece of metal that an arc welder can weld nicely? I have kasi a mast tabernacle to fabricate that will have 4mm and 6mm steel and wondering if this welder would be useful for that.

A mast tabernacle, BTW, is a metal stand where one inserts a boat's mast into for it to be upright. Imagine a flagpole base.

Re: A Poll survey for YAMATO DC Inverter Welder

@ balarila, (Ding)

Just PMed you just right now regarding this matter, but probably about 14 gauge metal or 2.5 to 3mm metal sheet but will need special welding technique of applying welds so not to punch a hole on the thin metal. For your intended use the 4mm or 6mm can be welded nicely with an arc welder but if you really want beautiful weld application, professional looking welds, a TIG WELDER will definitely deliver, oooopppppssssssssss, mapag bibintangan na naman ako nito na nahawa narin kay T__________ !!!!!!!!!!!!!
