Reminder lang po again. Mas need ng metalworking more protection compared to woodworking.

Boots, non flammable jacket, thick gloves, reasonably good welding hood, smoke respirator mask are basic.

Grinding dust & sparks are toxic. Small sharp flying metals are dangerous too. Good face shield, dust mask & hearing protection are mandatory.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, Pre parang nag katutoo hula ni brad jonathan when I started the first day of the year with a metal WIP regarding the heavy duty welding table, sabi nya, ahhh sigurado this year mamamayagpag ang metal working boys, LOL, I know its not the welding table that gave them interest in welding but the usefulness I guess of having a very affordable portable welding machine in their houses plus siguro yung tyaga natin sa pag popost nga metal wips.

Hanep mang hula yung mama, dumami nagka interesado sa welding, LOL, susunod nyan bro puro metal wips na ipo post kahit simple lang, tingnan mo si brad joey81, bumanat na agad, konting practice lang sa warehouse, ayun nag pakitang gilas na kay swmbo nya, hahah 😀

guys,

just got my Yamato unit na rin from Mimi. upgraded holder to Jackson (wala na daw Seiko) and extended the wire by 10 ft 🙂 ang bait nila Mimi and her staff.

and now, Morrissey_05 wishes to be excused....so i can practice my welding techniques 🙂

Pre, sa MY TOOLS, meron auto darkening helmets (ADH), you might want to check it out if you are not busy today and will be going out. I ask to see their ADH last December when I purchased my Dewalt angle grinder and they showed me 2 models. OH also sa Toolec may ADH na rin sila, hindi mo ba tinanong when you purchased your 5kg Ferrocraft 22 ?

Well the group buy for ADH, medyo malabo na yan kasi I think it would be better na kanya kanya na lang muna ng bili locally, other thing there are also many models to choose from Amazon.com plus I'm not for it yet since I don't have yet a MIG or a TIG weld machines. What I recently got from amazon is a HOBART with large flip viewing window, which I think for me is just perfect for stick weld application.

Pre, malapit lang sa iyo yang industrial store na yan, nasa Cainta junction lang, its on the right side kahanay ng PLDT and other stablishments if you are headed let's say to Tikling. Hindi ka lalampas ng first u turn slot sa Cainta.

Yep. I saw lots of ADH at Toolec ranging from P3.5k to P21k! The cheapest model works like magic. The moment I look at the overhead light with it, it darkens. Kaya lang, I knew nothing about it then (still know little) so kinda wary buying. From another thread, there seems to be specs like response time, darkness calibration, lightening delay, solar power, etc.

I'll do some reading first para I know what is good enough for me that wouldn't break the bank.

Finally, got my Yamato welder.
Special thanks to Ms Mimi for taking the extra effort to have the item sent to me at a very minimal cost.
Nagulat ako nung nakita ko yung box, I know it was small, but I did not expect it to be that small hehe. Pati tuloy yung mga tao sa terminal nakiusi na rin hehehe.
Initially tried it today, naninibago sa DC inverter technology. Tahimik, kakaunti ang splatter, at ang dali matanggal ng slag. Practice weld lang muna kanina, inaantok kasi at naka night duty.
Hopefully I can find time this coming weeks para magamit ng husto.

I still have not used mine aside from the random burn it test I did so far.
