AC/DC TIG.
Hoping to see good welds in Aluminum with AC Function 😊

Hope too to reach using the AC function for the aluminum but for my initial applications, I"ll be concentrating on the mild steel and stainless steel using the DC function. Aluminum and copper will probably come later since this will be the first time I will be into this process. With regards to the multiple knobs and toggle switches, have to study and learn each functions correctly. Have already ordered some consumables and accessories and there will be more I guess so hopefully I"ll be able to start playing with the welder early part of January. The argon gas, still have to be delivered.

These are the guys and I suppose plus the many great positive reviews in the net who have shall we say influenced or convinced me to choose this particular Tig machine for a newbie like me. This 3rd generation 2015 AHP Alpha Tig 200X AC DC tig machine is a great looking easy to use and a responsive unit priced below the thousand dollar range.

Plus the mere fact that basing on their Youtube videos, these guys have shown how to use the machine correctly using the multiple knobs and toggle switches, I can see I have a base point or a starting guide to follow, which will be easier for me to understand adjusting these knobs etc.

I was hoping to purchase a Tig machine locally before but ............ can't really find anyone reviewing any of the products available in the market, I might just end up guessing all the functions contained in the unit and be wasting time / consumables and electricity.

UNBOXING time for this Alpha- TIG 200X !!

But of course starting with the box. 😉 hehehe

Upon opening, you see first the owners' manual, a rectangular box in one side, I suppose containing the assorted accessories and
then the thick protective styro covering the unit on all sides.

I'll start first with the box containing the accessories.

This is what came out first, the 5FT gas hose.

The 30" "pig tail" adaptor for the 110 volts usage, but of course this is useless here in our country so I won't be using it.
The unit is already 220 volts.

And decently good built foot pedal with a 16 FT long cord.

Heavy duty stick rod holder with 10 ft cord.

Like wise with a heavy duty ground clamp and 10 ft cord.

Very nice heavy duty standard DINSE 50 style connectors. These can be used with other heavy duty welders carrying the standard female sockets.
