Will it be fine mga bros if I post the prices of the the ASEA welders, ? coz I was at their Ortigas branch at MC Home Depot few weeks ago, had a chat with the assistant sales manager and gave me too their flyers with prices listed on the different welders they were selling. I guess these are retail prices in general but they do have promos from time to time like for instance si bro jay2 recently purchased one unit of ASEA DC 200D STICK WELDER, humabol sa promo. Siguro, timber can arrange somethings with sir charles in case a group buy happens in the future, hindi malayong magka totoo yan, sana 30% to 40 % ma realize. HAYYYYYY :thumbup:

Wait! The cheapest one, ASEA 160A, is P12k. And the features list says it can be plugged into ordinary outlet. Now, if a huge discount is available, this just might be affordable.

I will learn a bit of welding to do my trailer but, I'm sure a welding machine would be handy around the house.

A little help, please: I always thought I would need a TIG welder if I want it pluggable into home outlets. How come this arc welder is also pluggable. Would it be a good "learning" machine?

In practical terms, what would be capabilities of a 160A arc welder? Up to what thickness of steel can it weld?
