have you tried purchasing in harbor freight?

I purchased small items from them. However not all their tools are ok. In the internet you can find a lot of threads in forums discussing PASS/FAIL threads for Harbor Freight products.

I guess i'll need to wait for when my family goes to divisoria with the car. I just hope they don't run out of those made in england vises when i do get to go.:(

hahaha, Edward is a great guy, last time I passed by, I got the Groz rabbeting plane. He probably has some leads to materials or new friends to introduce. Will visit soon when I find the time... besides, I am not in the mood to shop for items... no money, honey... 🙂

Yes he's a great guy. He showed me what Motorcycle tools and stuff he has. Thinking about this too because I can add the service to the shop if a find a real good big bike mechanic.

^ is that also from panda? chiwanese made? i'm also looking for a non-wobbling one. most of the ones i find wobble after a few uses.

I noticed too that China made vises do wobble after sometime. Even my Irwin Record 53 woodworking vise does that now. If it doesn't say Made in England on a Record Vise then most probably it's China or India.

Hi All,
Im also looking for a not China made bench vise.
I got to LYS Hardware and Yale Hardware in Masangkay st ,Recto st and ask about UK and US made vise.

I m just wondering why is the Nicholson brand is relatively cheaper than other brands? Although i forgot to ask if its china made , you know just like those US companies with china made products. I just assume it is made in USA , is it?
Maybe i ll just make a call to these hardware stores, If it is a US made vise and it is cheap, could it be flimsy, lower quality?

Those green Nicholson bench vises are Made in PRC.

JayL, I saw an ad in Sulit.com about a 4"Record vise with your name on it. If its yours, is it still available? Or do you have bigger size for sale?
