ganda naman ng welds.. hehe barya barya talaga..
Well those welds were done first month of this year and did more practice afterwards, the year is ending and I guess lots of improvement have been made and accomplished so far, but it doesn't stop there, still more practice to be done for other forms of applications.
Anyway thanks for the compliment bro, it helps a lot to boost some confidence !:cool01:

kailangan ko pa ng madaming practice.. when i weld kasi... pag walang butas.. i mean di ko tinagos yung bakal and dumikit.. mission accomplish.. hehehe
Well its simply knowing the right amperage setting for each rod used and the thickness of metal being welded. Pati na ang pag babad ng welding rod sa metal surface, hindi mo naman kailangang butasin yung bakal para malaman na may metal fusion specially the thin walled surfaces. As much as possible we try to avoid this scenario of burned holes on projects para hindi pangit ang dating. di ba ?:agree:
Cheers bro !

I have actually read this thread, but want to say thanks again for this review.
While waiting for my Miller to arrive, my mechanic/fabricator kept on saying that his smallish Yamada ARC welder (it says 200B), an AC ARC welder, kept on stopping, and because of that, work was getting slow (on this project that I am overseeing). So, today, I got this Hitronic 300 because of boss Rosy's glowing review and pics in this thread. He is just wiring the plug now as I type this....
Pics later. 🙂
I am pretty sure you and your mechanic/fabricator will be satisfied with this machine. By the way congrats on your new toy.... ooppps eh tool pala.
Cheers and enjoy your new machine !! :2thumbsup: :banana2:

After a short test, my fabricator was very happy with both the auto darkening helmet (P2,500 from Goldpeak tools, also Hitronic brand) and the ARC 300. He was able to make a long weld that used up one whole 3/32" welding rod. He said that his Yamada would cut off about 1/3 of the rod (and have to rest).
Plus, he said he loved the fine control of the amperage. And it has a digital reading, which he likes as well.
He has no idea what Force Arc does (I might have to backread to know as well). His Yamada only had a dial for the amps (the HiTronic has two dials: amps, and force arc).
Back read my post no. 35 of page 3 and try to understand the function and purpose of the Arc Force.
Glad to know your mechanic/fabricator is enjoying the new welder.

All I can say is my mechanic is saying that I should have gotten it earlier, so he could have used it and made better weld joints. His Yamada kept on cutting out, so "pitik pitik" style lang daw. Now, he welds and uses up a 2-3 rods without stopping (but with the thickness of the current materials we are welding, he uses 100-150amps, way too easy on the duty cycle of this 300amp machine). He only stops after 2-3 rods not because of the machine, but because that's the length of the stuff he welds.
He says it is much easier making the "kaliskis isda" (I love the vernacular terms he uses, especially the vernacular of slag -- "yung *** ng welding", LOL). [edit: since it got bleeped out, it's the three letter tagalog word for feces]
I have seen him work, and I agree I should have gotten this welder earlier. Antayin natin pag dumating yung Miller 211 ko... 🙂
OK fine, that is great but can you share some pics of what your mechanic/welder is doing or has done, the before and after weld applications.
Hope its not too much of a trouble.
Thanks ! :thanks:

sir rosy magkano naman po kuha nyo sa HITRONIC 300 Amp DC Inverter IGBT Welder at saan pede bumili..?
For the HiTronic 300 amp DC welder, its Ph 18,400.00 but if the price is a bit high for you , you can go for a 250 amp DC welder which is only Ph 12,000.00. These are already the discounted prices.
Google mo Goldpeak Tools and Hardware, address and contact numbers are there. Just simply talk to Coolmaxheric ( sir Heric ), he owns the store, very accommodating and a nice guy and easy to talk to. Monday to Saturdays only.
Cheers and good luck ! 😉

I think sa photo na yun masyado malakas yung ampere mo... using 1/8" 6013 rod siguro tama lang yung 90ampere... nakita ko kasi marami spatter and undercut sa 140amps and sa 120amps medyo mataas parin yung amp nya at may spatter. try 90-100 amps on 1/8 6013
u can try using a scrap and start consuming your weld up to 1cm of your rod then continue on your piece metal...
