Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

just want to update you on the price of the 4 inch variable speed angle grinder. it's priced at 3600 over at panda cons. went there looking one but got a circular saw instead for pick-up on wednesday. might get one myself when i get the saw.

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

Hey doc V,

Like what I said on another thread, if you don't like the big chop saws then why not get in touch with pyth, he sells a grinder stand which you can use. Simply attache and clamp your MAKITA angle grinder and there you now have an instant mini chop saw. :p

Its easier to use, safer and accurate pa mga cuts mo, also it will give you good and clean cuts.

Yes it will be more practical and time saver if you have another angle grinder so you won't be changing disc from time to time when you need to cut or do some grinding stuff. 😉

That is why I have several angle grinders beside me when metal working, whenever I need to grind, cut, or do wire brushing all I do is reach for the angle grinder with the right attachment and proceed with my work, saves me lots of working time. 😎

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

@ crazyboi_6,

Bro thanks too for your update on your tool shopping. So what will be your choice now of angle grinder, is it gonna be the variable speed variant or the standard single speed angle grinder ?

By the way I recently purchased a Makita 4" Angle Grinder model 9553B, my first time to own a Makita power tool, ang gaan pala and smooth sounding when running the motor, pinong pino ang tunog ng motor.

Purchased it at a suki DIY store near us, e suki na rin ako doon that's why they would give me freebies every time I buy power tool in that store. I did not buy the Bosch variable speed at mall hardware coz their price is to steep for me, php 4,899.75 compared to the Makita single speed with purchase price of 2,900K only including the tax. Its fine with me if its only a single speed grinder, a difference of 1900K.

WOW!!!! 1900K IS 1900K, with that savings, it can buy me 15 or 20 pcs. or more of 4" gringing discs or cutting discs combination. Well of course that was my choice and I was just being practical in my purchase.

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

@rosy,

i saw one before but the stand/grinder attachment is too flimsy and discarded the idea..

i havent seen the one being sold by pyth..did you get one yourself? i must agree too if you have one and satisfied with it.

thanks

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

HI there doc V,

I don't have it yet but I'm planning to get one from pyth as soon as I finish my welding table coz I'll attach it on one end of the table for easy cutting purposes while working on a project on the table.

Yes I have talked to pyth and he'll be sending it thru LBC.

By the way doc V I posted a link of pyth on sulit,I think its on another thread by ryobi on metal table, akala ko nakita mo na yon, its part of our discussions there if I remember correctly. He (pyth) even gives 5 or 10 percent discount sa PHM members.

-------------------------------

SORRY doc V, correction on the location of the link, nasa thread pala ni JayL na Welding Newbie, last page( 100 ) and post #997, hope you find it.
I just checked for correct information, OK ?

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

@rosy: i'm not sure. big difference between the fixed and variable speed. the slim type 4 inch costs 2300 only. i'll decide when i get the saw. anyway, would you happen to know the price of a Maktec 360 from your suki? i'm getting this as well. lowest i got was 6440 from han's. hirap mag tool hunting. besides the router, i still need a drill press and if budget permits a table saw.

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

@ crazyboi,

Yes sometimes mahal din mga tools sa HANS, e kasi naman e nasa Shang, though they have good tools there. May I suggest you visit MAYON Construction Supply, 315 Dasmarinas street, Binondo ,Manila., or you may call them at these numbers: 243-1159, 243-1160, 243-1162 up to 64.

The reason I'm suggesting this is because the warranty card I got from the Makita 9553B model angle grinder ay naka address sa kanila, so I presume they are the supplier of Makita power tools sa DIY stores all over.

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

sigurado price is higher in Hans Tools Shangrila than Binondo prices. MAYON Construction Supply is the distributor of Makita here but they sell higher than other tool stores here, this is the protection they offer their dealers so that customers buy from them instead of the distributor.
What you can do is go to Mayon inquire what you need and cross the street to purchase the item. You can go to Nationwide hardware and look for Heidi, she should be able to give you a better price.

click my signature and it will take you there........

Re: Let's Talk About ANGLE GRINDERS

Bro, crazyboi_6,

If you are gonna buy other power tools or the tools you are building as an arsenal for your future projects, may I suggest you stick to Panda, Araneta branch, make yourself be their suki and likewise their store to you and you will see soon they will recognize you, if let us say you are there every weekend purchasing their product or tools, time will come when padating ka palang ng front door nila sasalubungin kana nila with wide open arms., he he he ang sarap ng feeling.

One of this days I'll visit their store and maybe shop around, like what you said before, ang sarap mamili ng tools dyan. ( tool shopping spree )
