This is why I visit this site from time to time, valuable tips and exotic richy rich tools, wow!
I finished modding my ozito MIG and "Yes We Can". I didn't fry my ozito and results were great.
When I acquired this welder I had no time making beads and went straight to welding. I practiced on modding an old stationary bike to a recumbent one...
I'm an obvious newbie, welds were popping, making holes on thinner tubes, can only make straight beads on thicker 1/8" material on full wirefeed and voltage settings.
After the CapMod: In the process of making a dolly for this mig using rusty 2x2 1/8" angle bars, no clamp, no cut off mitre, mad max style, sobra hirap, parang full body workout but was happy with the ozito's performance.
Look at that gap! I think the bar was slightly bent or is it just me hehe. I still manage to weld it halfway using zigzag motion on the gun but my luck ran out. Must improve on my skills.
The ozito was set on 3rd voltage and wirefeed was on mid to max. Using gasless fluxcore .035". Overall I'm happy. I'd like to thank PHM for encouraging me to be PHM wannabe.:rolleyes:
