Re: Powercraft PIW200 Review w/ pics

I intend to open up my Powercraft to inspect the inside and to do some light cleaning inside (mainly blowing air from my compressor). Will post pics of that too.

Pls take extreme care when using compressed air. Make sure that the air is dry and does not have moisture in it as it might affect your electrical/electronic parts. Attach an Air and water separator and wrap a piece of cheese cloth or cotton cloth with a high thread count at the blow gun tip to prevent water spatter getting in contact with electronics.:electricf:

Tnx bro bugel. Yup one of the advantage of diy'ng is that you can do it yourself... though the allure of buying more tools is hard to resist hehehe

In my experience the powercraft is indeed value for money. It might have been not the cheapest (not the most expensive either) but it has gotten the work done and without any glitches so far.

I dont have any personal experience with the rilon however from the threads I have seen about it on PHM it looks sturdy and well made.

Powercraft is an american brand though the inverters we have here are made in china (Taiwan I think). Standard warranty is 1 year and after looking at the parts inside the powercraft it should not be a problem sourcing out parts for it locally as most inverter welders are constructed from mosfet or 1gbt transistors.

Hope this helps bro. 🙂
