Where can I find a used lathe? Actually, I need more than just the lathe, but I want to focus on this for the moment. I want to start my own garage shop for private works (still quite the newbie) and I can't afford spending money for new machinery. I found that they sell used machines on http://www.surplex.com/en/home.html so I'm really considering buying something there. What do you think? Any other ideas? Maybe more accessible? Thanks!

There are a lot of machine shops that have closed and have placed their equipment on sale. Check the ads or if you have the luxury of time try to comb the areas of Caloocan and Valenzuela. There are a lot of importers of surplus machineries in those areas that might fit your budget.
