lost my reciept na plus i had a bad experience with attitude ng tao nila sa front desk, the one who recieves clients. plus after the first repair, they told me na after tow sticks of welding rod to rest the unit for a few min before you weld again. after that instructions the machine was treated like a baby, i dont even weld more than a stick since im a wood worker. but still, it konked out.

il buy my next machine of a different brand next time. i know there are other yamato machines out there that are still working, my grudge is if i got a lemon and others got a good unit then its like buying at your own risk, there is no quality control for the yamato units. parang gamble, cause after all, it is not that cheap.

i did try my luck sa casino one time and after loosing 100$ i stopped, this machine is more than the equivalent of 100$ so that really more of what im willing to loose on the table.

Bro, the above is a paragraph in my post # 114 that I just copied and pasted here ! Just like I said your unit is still under warranty and you have until the end of this month to avail of its free service and accommodation. Why don't you get in touch with Joseph or Mimi herself and tell her your experience with the front desk people how you were treated. Do explain your side and your rights so things can be straightened out.

Now if that is your final decision not to give your unit another chance to be fixed so to speak to cut your loses and have some peace of mind, then so be it, I will not force you or even convince you further, its your call, this is a free country after all and you can buy another brand of weld machine of your choice !! :juggle:

Rhen? The other girl? Neither are particularly friendly to customers.
I guess we were all spoiled by MG and also the DTuazon location.
I haven't ever met Joseph, but the whole atmosphere at EY on
Kapiligan is a big letdown from their old DTuazon location. If I had
wanted the smell, crowdedness and filth of a "Binondo experience",
I'd have gone straight to Binondo and gotten a wider selection of
goods too, lol.

BTW, not having the old receipt isn't a dealbreaker.
If EY staff weren't just non-charming but outright rude, you might
want to complain formally,to help save other customers from the
same poor treatment.

If I'd been handed that kind of BS, I'd be steamed too...
If I'd had a welder quit on me twice, I'd have called it quits as well.
However:

You wouldn't be 'losing more at the table' to have the unit fixed
while it's still under warranty. Have it fixed for free and either sell it
at a big discount (with a heads-up to the buyer on repairs/warranty),
or you could do what I do when a piece of kit does me really wrong:
revenge via 14lb sledge &/or .45ACP, then sell it por kilo sa bote-bakal
guy. Admittedly I've only done this to a couple of desktop CPU's, but
I swear to you: it was extremely therapeutic both times.

Hehehe, bro amboy,

IndustrialSuppy 143 and EY Industrial Supply Inc are sister companies, theirs is not a store but more of a plant/bodega with their office and their stocks of YAMATOs and VESPAs plus other industrial power tools. Its also their service center. That is why we get some stuff their cheaper compared to the usual dealers or stores. They are direct importer of some heavy duty industrial tools we usually use or look for.

And we are glad that with PHM patronage of their YAMATO DC Inverters and perhaps their VESPA air compressors, we were given some special accommodations, discounts and assurance of good after sales service. 😎 :trampoline:

Talked with joseph , and yes they do have a good cOstomer relation, the thing is they are not the front people, we get to talk to them when there is already a problem.again, one concern i had with having my unit brought sa EY was the thought of dealing with their personel, if it all boils down to sermonan im very capable of handling them. But who in their right mind would want to drive all the way there to ruin their day.

If they want to improve the image, improve onthe way the personels deal with costomers, not just to PHM members but to all clients in general. Swerte tayo cause we have the back up of joseph and mimi,but what about those that just discovered that thats the place to go to to
buy an item only to be subjected to that kind of treatment. Just my two cents.

HEHEHE, They'd better improve their customer service, yes not just for PHM members but also with other clients. Well I guess ms Mimi saw our patronage of their product/s particularly the Yamato weld machine and really brought some business to their company and up to now some new members are still sending me private messages inquiring about the welder and as always would always refer or point them to Mimi's company.

With regards to the after sales service, during my exchange of text messages particularly with ms Mimi regarding your case bro, I said to her that this matter might back fire on them with regards to unit quality and customer service, well I got really some assurance that Mimi and JosephS will immediately attend and resolve the problem. Well now I am glad it turned out great for both parties involved and the problem concerning the unit has been resolved in favor of course of a valued customer from PHM.

Now where else can we find that kind of after sales and customers service. We appreciate so much the moves of ms Mimi and JosephS of IndustrialSupply 143. :cool01: :clap1:

I would just like to point out somethings here though the problem with the unit of our good friend Ernie Serrano has already been resolved.

Technicians from IndustrialSupply 143 already reiterated before during our group buy that this machine could take 2 or 3 welding rods of continuous use before a red light warning starts to appear. For me it was not a ridiculous advice, it was a sound one, warning us of the unit's limitation. So we were educated then before of its DUTY CYCLE, a 60% duty cycle within 10 minutes of welding use'application, meaning we rest the machine after two or three minutes of continuous use, the remaining 6 or so minutes, we rest and cool the machine, after which we can continue our welding applications.

Through results from the net on research of DUTY CYCLE, almost all DC Inverter machines with IGBT have this configurations to be followed, whatever brand it is, from the top US brands up to the Chinese made brand welders. So I don't see any reason for any body to be ranting about this, perhaps if anyone doesn't want this sort of duty cycle thing, its better to get an AC welder at 250 or 300 amperage and use it continuously without worrying about overheating. :rolleyes:

Again, this is not in defense of the technicians of IndustrialSupply 143 or its parent company or the brand they are selling. This DUTY CYCLE thing applies to all brands of DC IGBT machines, whether you buy the competitive brand available in the market today. It will still be the same, 2 or 3 sticks of welding electrodes of continuous use as its limit before resting the machine for a couple of minutes.
So this duty cycle is very important to remember and let's be educated and be well informed of the usage of this DC Inverter machines.

Well congrats on your purchase of the YAMATO weld machine and let's hope it won't have a problem and would last you long. If it does develop a problem, immediately get in touch with JosephS of IndustrialSupply 143 or EY Industrial Supply Inc. so they can have it checked, fixed or replaced as long as its still is under warranty. 😉

By the way I goggled the brand of welding machine you used to use in your training and found out its manufactured in Korea, similar with the ASEA weld machines, that's why its a bit expensive. 🙁
