Call it a day
Dry fitting and test load.
Bro, ahhh, no triangular bar supports on the sides of the base ? Yes I see the vertical columns are welded to the base plates but its not welded to the horizontal footing, only bolted. I hope it holds tight and well for it might give some strains on the bolts and holes of the footing in the long run specially when heavy items are moving back and forth plus the center of the gravity of the heavy load will always fall at the center, not spreading to the entire horizontal footing.
Anyway just an observation on my end, if you feel the fab work is sound, then possibly it is sound and sturdy enough.
Congrats on the built. :chopper:

Im thinking about that before the build but on the design there's a steel ropes and turnbuckles for that its a 3X5 4mm squre tubing and a 18mm bolts it look small in the picture but its size of a jumbo hotdog :-).
The steel rope with tensioner support will keep the gantry square horizontally. Lets see.
Appreciate your suggestion btw. 😉

That's great AV, you've finally completed and finished your gantry crane project. An excellent metal project indeed.
