Preparing the bottom frame..1-1/2"x2mm square tubing, a scrap material that i used in my previous project..

Medyo matatagalan to kaya nag apply muna ako ng rust converter..

Dito ko ipapasok ang wheel shaft..

Na galing sa chopsaw stand ko..hehehe..

Re: MIG Cart

The hole made by 5/8 drill bit is not big enough to accommodate the wheel shaft so i use my straight grinder to enlarge the hole..ayan shoot na sya..

Fabricating wheel casters mount..

Then i made a short bead run in 5mm plate,sa loob para walang makita sa labas na hinang..

Dami ng pics..wala pa namang nagagawa..stop muna ako jan..wala ng materyales.

Uuyyyy, na umpisahan na ng mama yung Mig Cart, nice front and rear mount fabrication, but I am kinda curious about the rear axle, why use a corrugated steel bar instead of a round bar stock ? Is that a 16 mm steel rebar bro ?

Thanks !! :thanks:

Re: MIG Cart

AH OK, Hindi ko naman sinasabing mali or panget and pagka gawa, its just unusual. I know it will be covered anyway by a plate so nobody will see it anymore.

Just enjoy the cart built !! 😀

Re: MIG Cart

May ginawa akong transmision ng hand tractor nung isang araw..kinuha ko yung kadena..

Eto ang aakap sa gas tank..

My original plan is to fasten the chain by bolt..pwede sana pero mahihirapan akong magtangal at mag kabit..pikado kasi..

Kaya ginawa kong pin type na lang..

Re: MIG Cart

Always a good safety measure to protect that inert gas tank at all cost. If for any reason it falls down and the valve breaks then it will fly like a rocket specially if it's still at high pressure. I can't imagine the havoc it will do if this happens when it's at 2,000 psi pressure but I know that cement walls would be like paper.

Re: MIG Cart

Hhmmnn, nice idea sir, di ko pa na try petroleum jelly, but what I did before was get a small cup and spray the contents of WD40 unto it until I get about enough to dunk the nozzle in. After about 30 minutes of continuous run on a drill pipe, it's just about time to clean the contact tip as well. I take out the nozzle, clean the spatter on the inside surface and dunk it into the WD40. While it's cooling, its a good time to the contact tip as well. Malaki talaga ang difference pag nai-dip mo cya sa WD40, pag tinangal mo ung spatter from the inside, buong buo cya parang sing-sing.
