Re: Mig welder inquiry

Thanks for the welcome guys, once I get the wires, i will surely test the machine out. I originally wanted the Transmig 200i and was preparing my wallet to take the big hit, but then I changed my mind since the projects I had in mind right now do not really require very beautiful welds. So I bought the Weldcorp and a bunch of other tools! Yipeee! I only wish my welding skills were really good. 🙁

Hi bro deanorbs,

I just realized we're both members of another forum abroad, its a welding forum catering more with their own welding products and that you sent me a PM about CIGWELD welding machines. Well I have replied with your query a few weeks back, sorry for the so so late reply. Well I think you know already where to source the the Cigwelds and I think you already purchased some items from that sulit seller. But there are also other sellers in QC and in Las Pinas. 😉

Anyway, how's the WELDCORP 100 amp welder doing, any feed backs yet from the machine's performance ?

TIA bro. :thanks:

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Just to give a heads-up, Cigweld 120,135 and 150 is EXACTLY the same unit with ozito mwr-135, circuit and all. It's a classic sample of re-branding from the so called "trusted brands". But i give +1 for cigweld for the mig gun.

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Yeah bro JanMike,

Since the CIGWELD brand is already owned by THERMADYNE Industries, Cigweld weld machines has greatly improved, quality wise, with the additions of VRD, TEWCO mig gun and many more features to consider, now its becoming very similar to their Thermal Arc Fabricators. Very impressive machines indeed !!

True, but the one's available here at the moment is a bit frustrating, certainly not measuring up with the brand name. probably because they were the old mig models.

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Has anybody tried a Rilon Mig 200G its a Multiprocess and can do Tig, Arc as well as stick and FCAW selling for 35K with regulator? I will be using it for light welding of schedule 20 pipes. Anybody has experience using this type of welding machine or the Rilon brand for that matter?

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Hey artisans,

As far as I know there are only two members here who have shared to post their Mig welders, one Millermatic 180 Auto Set and another is a Lincoln Promig 180. I just don't know if there are other members who have purchased the said Rilon Mig welder but have not made or care to post of it, so I guess we cannot say or give you any information or in-puts about the welder you are asking for. 🙁 Most members here have the stick (MMA) welder.

But we know here that the RILON brand is one good quality welder, its one of the major brands manufactured by RILAND from China, whether from Stick to Mig, Tig or Plasma cutters as well.

Do you have the Mig 200G already or simply planning to buy one ? What process are you going to use for the gauge 20 pipes ?
I'm guessing here, you'll be using the Mig or the Tig process since the pipe's wall is kinda thin.

A LITTLE OT HERE !!

Bro, since you are a new member of the forum and have made your first post, can you please introduce yourself for we want to know you better as a new member here. We have a MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS just below the Gazebo Forum, its just down the PHM index page, perhaps you can tell us some things about your line of work, interests or hobbies etc, etc. 😉

Thanks,
rosy

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Thank you for the warm welcome. I just placed an order for a Rilon Mig 200G which is a Multiprocess machine that is capable of .8 to 1 mm mig wire and can do mig, mma, fcaw and lift tig. Next week pa nila idedeliver but one 250 ampere machine also caught my eye... its an ArchSmith 250 which will not have any problems with fcaw. Difference of 10k from the Rilon 200 amps. I am totally clueless about welding its just that so many big companies swear by Rilon.

Thanks rosy I will make a little intro about myself on the Member Introductions.

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Bro artisans,

Good for you and congrats for the purchase of the multi-process Rilon Mig welder, I am sure you will enjoy trying them different welding processes, Mig, Stick and Tig. There are lots of videos in Youtube which I think you can watch and follow for starters tackling on the said different welding processes.

But just to remind you to follow the safety precautions and safety gadgets used during your welding practices in the future !! Hope too that you can make a review of your new welder when you have time and share it here in the forum so that others may be informed and educated. 😉

Good luck, enjoy and stay safe !! 😀

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Yea post soon bro! Is that a multi-process inverter machine? I am also into sourcing out machines like that but my suppliers won't release one. I wonder why..maybe patent issues??

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Whoa! tagal ko na nga palang di naka balik dito ah... rosy, ikaw pala yung nasa isang brand sponsored forum ah. Hanggang ngayon I am still dreaming of a multi-process welder, kaya lng considering the money I have to spend for it, medyo matatagalan pa before I can fork out that much money for a single item.

Anyway, I got the wire from JanMike and refilled my small spool. Ang bilis maubos at nakakapagod mag transfer to the small spool. I started to make a fixture to I can use the bigger spool instead. Kaya lng, short lng ung vacation time and I had to prioritize some activities. Hindi ko tuloy natapos ung project kong metal tool cabinet at yung jig/fixture for the "bigger" spool. Last vacation, promise ko ky kumander was to spend all my time with the family lang, so I totally abstained from any project kaya nandun pa rin ung skeleton nung cabinet, waiting for other parts to be welded on. A great help were those welding magnets from JayL, by the way. Hopefully, I can finish that project, and some more, and then I will be able to give you guys some sort of review on the machine.

Re: Mig welder inquiry

reposted this from the aluminum thread:

Thanks for all the info bro Jan Mike! Latest info on my welder is that I was not able to get the Rilon but got a Hitronic 250J instead. its got a separate wire feeder. I already bought an Arcoweld gas from Pasay courtesy of Sir JayL (Ive been reading his posts). Now the only thing lacking is the training on how to use it. I am currently immobile (due to knee surgery) so not much activity for me. Is there someone I can contact to provide trianing on how to mig weld? This is for my welder and two other people who wants to learn. enrolling them in Meralco Foundation would be too costly. I'm looking at a half-day to 1 day course just some intro and a few hrs of actual welding. If you know anyone please message me. Location is in San Juan, Metro Manila.

Re: Mig welder inquiry

Hey artisans,

OK, I suppose this is already for real, congrats on the HiTronic Mig welder but are you sure its a 250J?
Maybe its the 250F single phased HiTronic Mig.

Oh sorry about your knee surgery but I'm sure you'll be up and going in a few weeks !!

With regards to learning how to use or operate your new, perhaps for the mean time you are "immobile", you can view lots of mig welding usage in the internet, lots of guides there in YouTube you can start with then maybe jot down infos you need then do your practice little by little. Mig welding is kinda new here in the forum so I cannot recommend anyone to teach you the ins and outs of this welding process. Best thing really is going to TESDA welding seminars or enroll and learn from the Meralco Foundation. I know it will be a bit costly but then for oneself, its gonna be an investment where you will be taught and guided by a professional trainer/welder. The cost you will pay sa Meralco Foundation is very much cheaper than the mig machine you have now.

Ang lapit mo lang naman sa Meralco Foundation so I guess don't close your doors sa MFinc.
I myself is planning since last year pa for the MFinc stuff, its like I am investing on myself for the proper training.

Good luck on whatever you decide !! 🙂
