Re: MIG Welding Newbie

Is that the same as Loctite Blue? Is that available locally?

Yes like Locktite product. The color defines the strength. Red is higher rating than blue.

I purchased at Amazon. The Gel Pen type is easier to apply and no drips.

Re: MIG Welding Newbie

I beleive I saw some permatex locally at the malls aside from the other branded blue and red thread lock glues.

Re: MIG Welding Newbie

Low rear center of gravity ....

The power outlet ....

Normal mig welding stuff like wires, contact tips, gas regulator , wire cleaners, nozzles etc...

I'll use this toolbox for now in the absence of drawers ...

I'll also try to find wider inflatable tires with 5/8" bearing hole ...... and if these are are so very expensive then I will upgrade the rear wheels.

Re: MIG Welding Newbie

@jay,

at last!!!

are you showing this cart to the miller forum? hmmm...baka kopyahin nila! haha..dont forget the royalties..:)

just curious, with all that heavies...how are the wheels upfront holding up?

i just wished that makita has a dedicated sliding tray.

looks like an E-cart for those welding jobs!

great welding caddy brader. just great.

cheers!!!

Re: MIG Welding Newbie

@V the front Creston casters are holding up well. The rear are ok but there can be room for a better one. The cart is easily maneuverable using rear wheels and front casters even with it's heavy weight.

The Makita and the Bosch chop saws will have their own cart soon. I was thinking to temporarily house it in the MIG cart but on second thoughts there are more usable items that needs to be placed there like consumables and mig accessories.

I think I succeeded in my goal of a smaller cart footprint to maximize my ever shrinking garage space availability. So far this will do what I had intended it to do.

Hope you build your water cart rather than buy one. You can customize the size and probably save on cost too.

Thanks a lot for viewing my build.

Hmmm me point ka bro ... DIY / Hobbyist lang ako so usually minsan months pa inaabot bago magamit welder and kung me WIP lang. Kahit siguro half or 3/4 cart body ( down ) pero buo. Will look into that as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.
