Yeah if it's a Red then it's a Lincoln.

I have not checked yet but most probably my welder was shipped last Saturday.

Yes I'm hoping to get it on or before mid next month.

I think I under studied the Stainless MIG welding part. I purchased the wires needed but just recently saw from weldingweb.com that I would need another gas type to utilize this. Either Argon mixed with 5% oxygen or Tri mix of Argon, Co2 and Helium.

My first tank will be for Arco Gas. 75% Argon and 25% CO2. For Mild Steel and Sheets.

How many tanks do we really need? Aluminum Mig Welding will need pure Argon. That's 3 tanks already. 🙁

Yeah that's what I did. I skipped flux cored capability too. Anyway it's too much to learn all things at once also. You're right it's better to take it a step at a time. Lighter on the wallet. 🙂

Re: MIG Welding Newbie

Hey bro ossie,

Me too I've got nothing against chinese brands, not all chinese brands are bad, some are also worth having and buying.

In fact my next target after getting the mig welder is to save up for a Powercraft DC Tig/Stick 200 amp welder or a Minweld DC Tig/Stick 200 amp welder, prices of these two welders are reachable.

I even have a number of Ozito brands of power tools and I'm happy with the performance of them all, maybe it just so happens that there are better brands to choose from compared to chinese brands.

Re: MIG Welding Newbie

Ang mahal pala ng Miller na yun, $1 grand. Is it really better than the welding machine where you use a stick? Is the transition from stick to wire quite easy to learn? Available ba locally yung "bala" nya and some parts? I've always been curious about wire welding machines (we do construction & fabrication works) but I haven't really tried buying one yet. thanks
