Yes... it's only a small one because it's just temporary for me. 10mm / China 2 pcs 65 pesos - expansion bolt with eyelets.

Pasensiya na mga bros ... mas madami kasi online time , coffee and yosi time kesa sa Wip kaya medyo mabagal matapos. 🙂

Mig welding 101 : getting to know the process and the machine.

I specifically chose aserado angle bars for this as I have not had very good success welding this using my 200A Stick welder.

The current setup - no cart and welding table as yet.

Proceeded to weld the angle bars. Still letting the machine auto setup adjust weld parameters like wire speed and volatge. All it needs from me is the thickness of the metal I'm welding. This is the Idiot proof way but manual is still the best option which I will use once I learn more about the welder.

So far so good no burn through ...

I specifically did edge welding to see how the welder will handle it. My stick welder will make a mess out of this.

I then proceeded to grind the welds to see how the metal pieces were joined.

the penetration side ... ( tack welds prior to full welds also shown )

So far better than my 200A AC welder. I also note the ease with which the welds were done on the side of the operator.

Notice the operator error on the last two pics. I did not aim well to make sure the welds were centered on the joints thus applying more heat on one side.

Thanks Timb. Yes cleanup was one major reason I chose gas welding. No slag and so far minimal spatter too.

Hi-tech ng welding machine nyo sir. Thank you sa suggestion re rilion brand welding machine. Will get it Tom, pwede na muna yung160amps since wala pa official projects, tamed Lang ako mang Hiram na nun bulky unit ng office lol.

Here is the carbide burr in action grinding spot welds so I can place the sheet metal flooring flush to the angle bars.

Very fast metal cutting tool. However it needs full protetcive clothing and safety gears. Look a the sharp fine metal shavings.
