Talked to instructor "Eman" (I suppose short for Emmanuel), and he toured me their "classroom". I didn't check out their stick welders, but saw a guy working feverishly on something. Apparently, that student is applying to work in Australia, and MFI is his ticket to success, so I wish him the best.

Eman asked me why I want to learn MIG weld, and I said it's just a hobby, and he was cool with that (he also teaches ARC, and TIG, and he did say that MIG would be best/easiest for newbie learners, and stick would be least expensive).

They only accept up to 5 students for their one week (8 am to 5 pm, Mon to Fri) forty hour course (30% lecture, 70% hands-on). There's also a schedule for 5 days (3 Saturdays, 2 sundays) as well as a 5:30 pm to 9 pm (evening classes) that's 2 weeks.

Their MIG welders are a bunch of Miller CP-302 machines (as far as I'm concerned, they were gigantic; all of a sudden my Miller 211 (which is still on the way to California, then another 4-6 weeks on a boat before it gets here) feels rather small, haha).

The course is a rather stiff P10,000... but, hey, all safety equipment and consumables is taken care of by them. I know a lot of you got by with videos and books, as well as hands on practice, but this looks interesting, so I'm looking at my schedule now to see where I can fit this in.

Watch jody collier of https://m.youtube.com/user/weldingtipsandtricks marami kang mapupulot jan.
