Re: Air compressors

Mga sir, I noticed something is dripping from under my compressor. I touched it and smelled it parang water lang. What do I do? Is my compressor in trouble? It's a vespa 1HP. also how do I adjust the psi to increase it?

Re: Air compressors

May water residue na inside the tank due to condensation. Just remove the screw and drain the water. Minsan sumasama yun water pag ginagamit mo yun compressor during spray painting. Best is to install water seperator after the tank.

To adjust the psi capacity store in the tank may screw sa pressure switch pihitin mo lang. Trial & error to get the stored psi you want.

Re: Air compressors

If it's leaking water and air you probably need to change the O ring on the drain screw too.

Re: Air compressors

Violaine,

I saw an HVLP air compressor by MAXSELL completer with the sprayer, So far ive only seen it on display at Wilcon Depot Libis (the large shop along libis, they have a smaller shop on the opposing side of the street)

And initially i was wondering why it was so bloody small until i read your post :). I forget how much it was though....

I just dont know how well it works.

Bee maybe its not a compressor most likely it’s a turbine standard HVLP requires at least 17 CFM if im not mistaken that why I gave up to HVLP spraying cost I don’t have that enough CFM and Jay is correct it’s the shipping that will kill yah.

Re: Air compressors

Ok here goes . If your compressor is the same design as mine.

You can find the drain plug under the tank.

This is the drain plug. Notice the water I got out when I drained mine. That's the result of around 3 days of use, maybe 2 to 3 hours daily.

The O ring seal on the plug. You can buy this at Taurus Auto Supply in Arnaiz St. Just bring the sample.

Re: Air compressors

To adjust the pressure up take off the plastic cover of the pressure switch ( loosen the screw ). I adjusted mine to 115 psi max cut off. .

Mark the default position using a pen marker before you adjust.

Drain the tank of air and turn the screw clockwise a quarter of a turn from your marker. Charge the tank and see what pressure reading the motor stops. You might have to repeat this a few times to get it exactly to 115 psi. It's like trial and error. Notice from the markers that mine took slightly more than 3/4 of a turn to get it to 115 psi from the 90 psi factory setting

Hope this helps.

Re: Air compressors

There should be a second screw to adjust when the compressor turns ON. I've set mine so it turns on at about 60 or 70 psi (don't exactly remember) because the regulator is set to deliver 50 psi.

Re: Air compressors

Alam ko rin dalawa dapat ang screw for CUT-IN and CUT-OUT ng pressure switch.

Mukhang gamit na gamit ang compressor mo JayL, dami ng water galing sa tank.

Re: Air compressors

DIY masters, ask ko lang po kung hanggang saan safe itaas yun pressure ng vespa 1/2hp. Is it ok to set the cut off at 115psi? hindi po ba mahihirapan yun compressor and motor?

If it was me I'll keep it at 100 psi cut off.

I do have the Vespa 1HP and 2HP and I run these are 115 PSI cut off w/o any problems.

Re: Air compressors

i have a china 2hp compressor, i set it to 110 psi - kaya ng compressor but i'm not sure if the tank's ok with it so i let the pressure drop when i'm not using it.

reason for the 110 psi is that road bike tires need that pressure.

I think the factory setting of my 1/2hp compressor was set at 85psi. I'll try to raise it to 100. Hope it will not go kaboom.

Re: Air compressors

im planning to buy i saw this at sulit can any one help me understand the specs

Voltage: 220VAC, 60Hz

Motor Speed: 5500RPM

Max Pressure: 100PSI

Flow Rate: 20 L/Min @ 90psi

Rated Input: 176watts

Duty cycle: 100%

is this enough to do ducco? and cleaning power tools?

also it does not idicate how many HP how can i identify how may hp ?

The wattage rating is approx equivalent to 1/4Hp. It is a small compressor so I dont think you can use it for power tools cleaning for a sustained period. my 2cnts
