Considering the items you could place inside a 40 ft container then it will come out cheaper when the cost is spread out.

I think I have too many air hoses already. I might put the Colorite 3/8" 50 ft hose ( Made in USA ) on the classifieds section to sell it.

This by the way is a good mid range air hose reel. The spring action is strong which is one of the features one would look and want in an air hose reel.

This might help. JOMERO INDUSTRIAL SALES, 676 Tomas Mapua St. Sta. Cruz, Manila. Look for Mr. Jose Tan. Tel no. 7336881 / 7359307. I get all my compressor parts from them. They even fabricate parts that are impossible to find. They have parts for IR, Quincy,Hitachi and more. Even if you don't get the original pressure switch model he has excellent alternatives for your unit.

Re: all about Air Compressors

2000 USD for this : Irregular shape cargo measuring 42 x 42 x 81 inches LWH. Weight = 500 lbs. Price quoted by Johnny Air Ocean cargo

FWIW, a colleague of mine had a gas range shipped from San Diego to Paranaque for $300. Balikbayan box style (tax free).

I don't know the dimensions and weight of the gas range, but I think its roughly the same as the high-end 4-burner gas ranges sold locally (with oven underneath).

Shipping company is Badua International

Thanks for the info. I will try them out first. I just love this forum. The wealth of info available is growing steadily.

None the less if not locally available I found the Pressure Switch at Grainger.com already. It's $47.35 + $12.95 shipping.

Thanks. Will check them out. It's best to know all shipping options in case we need bigger items like band saws, contractor grade table saws, jointers etc...

I know there are cheaper ways to ship bigger stuff but have not fully checked them out yet. Links such as yours will be useful when I hunt them down.

Re: all about Air Compressors

Started to thinker with the pressure switch. Shot some pics for future reference as well as I'm going to take it off and bring it to Binondo to see what's available.

Broken contact actuator arms.

I could probably JB Weld these but prefer a new one for safety reasons. This part was sourced out by Campbell Hausfeld and it carries a CH manufacturer's part number.

I wonder if an original replacement is available at the source Willy posted. None the less an IR compatible part won't be a bad choice too.

I could use bigger gauges too if I find some.:)

@jay,

i am not particularly adept to the specs but definitely for spray painting purposes lang.
thanks in advance.

Here's the specs. Second to the last.

http://www.toolsfromus.com/pc_portable_ac.htm

That Powercraft pumps 6.7 cfm at 90 psi. Just make sure the spray guns you will choose are not air hogs. The Asturo gun that Timber has and the like will work with this compressor well.

However for the Finex 3000, Devilbiss Finishline series and most Iwata & Sata guns you will require at least 9-10 cfm. Something in the range of a 60 Gal 3 HP 10.3 cfm@90psi compressor much like the one I got. It will cope up but there will still be some lag in between when doing big pieces like a whole car. The best bet for these types of guns is a 5 HP 60 or 80 Gal compressor pumping 18 cfm@90 psi.

Re: all about Air Compressors

One of my worries was solved today. Considering that the Speedaire compressor had sat in storage for a long time, it would have wrecked rust havoc on the tank if it was stored with water still inside. The drain valve was intact ( untouched for a long time ) and when I drained the tank was absolutely dry.

I took off the pressure switch already.

The unit was built by Siemens Energy and Automation Inc. The spec sheet says that it's set to turn ON when pressure drops to 95 psi and turn OFF when pressure reaches 135 psi.

Will probably bring it with me to Binondo next week to see if I can find a replacement.

I am tempted to give the compressor a new color. Probably the original one that the manufacturer uses. Campbell Hausfeld Blue. Maybe at a later date when I get all things working already.

Had the same problem w/ one of my Quincy compressors and they sold me a replacement switch that worked fine. Though it was a different switch brand it did the job nonetheless. JOMERO might just have something that may work for you. You might want to browse at the shops around that street too. There are at least 4-6 shops dealing with Air tool parts as well as accessories. You just might find the gauge you want. I found a nice zinc alloy air valve to replace my old Vespa brass ball valves there.:p
