I had the chance today to try it out, and boy oh boy... it was worth every single penny I paid for it...
Used water based poly and it gave me super fine mist with a spray pattern that easily surpasses 10" width. Controls are very easy to use and very responsive...
I finished the coating the speaker stands in about 1 minute from start to finish. :D. gave me a wet coat as I wanted, was so happy I sprayed twice a certain portion almost twice and it sag... but that was operator fault. hehehe
the only drawback I find in this gun is you finish fast and you want to play with it more.... hahahaha
btw, I finished spraying in a single tank of compressed air, it was ON but didn't reach the starting cycle. so yes, it is a good gun for us with smallish compressors (by small I mean less than 5HP)...

Just think, how much nicer this would be if I used oil or laquer based finish... water based pa lang ganda na gamitin...

Re: Asturo WB Xtreme Master Kit Review

Its about time you got to use that! Im surprised it ran on a single tank of air. That really must be LVLP. Now i know what gun to get when i upgrade my comp in the future.

Did you get to use the viscosity cup? How many seconds for the water base? And what tip set did you use?

haven't tried the VC, I just used the poly straight from the can with a 1.5mm tip. Yes, I was kinda stumped at first when the compressor did not run thinking the switch must have been OFF... during clean-up and sprayed water to clean the gun it ran 😀
it is a great gun Moji, I would recommend it highly... thinking of getting the 1.3mm tip, but having second thoughts... might get the 1.3mm gun instead... lol

Re: Asturo WB Xtreme Master Kit Review

Timb,

Is the AOM / Asturo gun you got Made in Italy or Taiwan.

I'm currently in the market for a gun for base coat use. I have the Devilbiss Finsihline 3 Gun on my sight but am also checking out the Asturo.

I can now drive higher CFM guns but am intrigued by the high regards and review you gave the Asturo WB gun. It must be real good.

Thanks

Re: Asturo WB Xtreme Master Kit Review

We got out Asturo here: http://spraygunworld.com/

Pero buy at your own risk.

After placing our order, we realized how bad the reviews were for this site. Then, order got delayed so we were so worried. When it arrived pa sa forwarder, may isang nozzle na wala. So I emailed and complained.

They were nice enough to send me an extra one.

In the end, we got our order. And I ended up with an extra nozzle.

Apparently, this site's former owner scammed so many people. But since it changed hands, I think service improved a lot.

But this all came from researching what people had to say about the site.

As I said, caveat emptor.
