Re: paint brush vs spray paint ?

What is the condition of your wall (pader), is it inside or outside of your house, is the wall rough finished or yung makinis na ? Is it a small wall or a large/wide one ??

Of course using a spray will produce even and fine finish plus a bit faster too but expensive in the sense that you will still use electricity for your compressor. 🙁

Using a brush will also do, cheaper because its manual but medyo matagal.

Another alternative is using a paint roller, cheaper and faster too specially if the wall is wide and tall, will also produce even or fine painted surface, hindi pa masakit sa kamay. 😉

Hope this helps.

There is paint wastage with spray because of overspray. Add to that the cost and effort of covering/masking out the parts that you don't want to paint.

Brush is definitely cheaper. The paint goes where you want it to go. But its tedious.

I agree with rosy. Roller is the way to go. Faster and less tedious.

Re: paint brush vs spray paint ?

Hey liteace,

Since you mentioned " pader " ,I presume it is a concrete wall or a wall partition and not a fiber cement wall. So if it is a concrete wall at makinis na, you'll be probably using some latex paint, the appropriate paint for concrete, the white one or perhaps you will add some tinting color to get a pastel effect. :p

Siguro bro better get the semi gloss or the gloss kind, you will still have to dilute that a little if you will be using a spray gun kasi baka sobrang lapot if you will use the paint direct from the can, medyo papa labnawin mo ng konte. 2 or 3 coats I guess will be enough specially if you applied first some masilya on the surface to even out some concrete un eveness and lessen paint absorption during the first coating.

Hope you don't mind me asking but why not just use a roller ? it will be faster and very economical' ala pang noise ng compressor and use of electricity. 😉
