I was TV surfing a few weeks ago when I saw this Paint Zoom - The Ultimate Paint Sprayer on HSN. Has anyone bought/used this product? The advert seems impressive (they should be). I was surfing the net for reviews on this product. I only found one where the buyer couldn't find the right paint for his Paint Zoom. I called HSN, and the telemarketer told me that all paints can be used except acrylic.
I'd appreciate any feedback or opinion or comment on this product.

it is too stupid for me now to be seeing those pictured above spray painting without even a cheap mask!
as the end advert says in a very fine print..."if symptoms persists consult your doctor"...
my favorite now are acryllics..so without winking...never mind!

Hi, violaine. I was thinking the same thing. Acrylic is great. Is it because acrylic paint is too viscous that it cannot be used with the Paint Zoom?
About the mask... I think it was just for advert purposes so that the good looking models' faces would be visible. The instruction does state though, that a mask should always be used.

i wish the Paint Zoom is a HVLP type. if its too cheap then i cannot guarantee its the ultimate spray painting solution.
with regards to water based paints...it doesnt mean all toxic elements in were removed so we still need protection.
mask is cheap but lungs are...well you can only have a set of lungs at a time..the next pair in the next life.

You are reading and posting on this forum, that sort of implies that you're a certified tinker.
Im sure it will make you feel better if you will get yourself a pair of compressor and a spraygun. You can get those cheap australian surplus for starters. 🙂

For comparison a 1/4 HP air compressor and an Iwata clone spray gun will probably set you back around 6K or even less.
The above setup can't spray latex due to the available tip size of the spray gun which I reckon would be 1.5mm max.

For comparison a 1/4 HP air compressor and an Iwata clone spray gun will probably set you back around 6K or even less.
Would that be good for varnish, too? I'd probably be doing a lot or varnishing soon.
Would a 1/4HP compressor also be good enough for a nailer?

I have a similar product, it's a HVLC type of paint gun. I've used it with laquer varnish and paint, no complaints except for that it's a hassle to clean.
