Twice now, I wanted to help a member looking for something by posting the link to the Sulit website. The link appeared in asterisks.
May I know why the links I posted have been censored?
I feel strongly against censorhip in forums on benign matters such as links to help members. I can, of course, accept that offensive material or misposted commercial content be stricken. But my posts have been sincere and harmless, I cannot understand why the links were asterisked.
Here's a sample below. The link is for a welding angle clamp at Sulit.

Sorry Ding about your frustration on the links you'd post and finding out it doesn't connect. I have done that before several times and would get the same results just to assist other members find sellers. I have stopped and have come to realize that links from sulit.com doesn't really work with PHM.
I think there is no censorship here, I suppose linking their website to this forum really doesn't connect or whatever so may I suggest you refrain from linking sulit to PHM coz it will just be a waste of time and effort. 🙁

Thanks, Rosy. But I used to be an IT man and I can only surmise that the site has some programming code written in it where the string of ...sulit.com is auto-replaced by a string of asterisks.
I hope the admins move away from disabling links to other sites. It just goes against the whole free communication atmosphere of cyberspace.

Sorry for whining about this but I really dislike my own text from being supressed.
In that "other" forum, they initially suppressed my links to pinoyhandyman. I told them that I am withdrawing my membership as I believe such restrictions are unethical. The admins apologized and removed such restrictions and I continued my membership.
