Pinoyhandyman.com has just newly launched. As such, we expect some bugs and script issues to crop up here and there.

In order for us to squash these bugs, please post here any error messages that you might meet while browsing through all sections of this site.

We appreciate such and will come a long way in further improving our 'Caring, Sharing and Helping' community!

Btw, welcome to pinoyhandyman.com fellow handymen (and handywomen)!

🙂

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

i had several problems a while back:

1. while using the "jump to"dropdown box, choosing a forum always ends up giving a "page not found" or a 404 error page.

2. i tried replying to a post and after submitting, my reply simply disappeared... i don't know where the post went.

3. also, after posting, can the page go to the new message / reply, rather than the topic list? it's so frustrating not seeing your post immediately and you still have to click the thread link.

thanks!

btw, cool site.

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

whenever I'm clicking an updated forum, I always ended up looking at my profile.

sorry for the inconvenience squatt3r. i just purged the old SEF URLs amd regenerated new ones.

the old URLs are still cached in your system. everything will be okay once your cache is cleared / purged once you restart / reboot your system.

after rebooting, post back if the problem exists. thanks!

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

the email icon and my email address on the members section as well as the profile summary shows up even when I ticked on the "hide email address from public option"

does this show to other members or only to me. when I'm logged in. it seems strange that it should even be there as I don't see a reason why i would send myself and email.

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

it's been observed that the forums load very slllloooowwwwwwlllllyyyyyy and returned errors messages after the launch.

anyway, we made some finetuning with the portal-forum bridge script and made some adjustments. i believe the forums now load faster and hopefully the error and bugs have been corrected.

Reported errors/issues by Tsikoteers who have difficulty registering:

    [list=]

  • No permission and IP not allowed
  • Cookies not enabled - although according to the would-be-newbies, all of their cookies are enabled.
  • Session expired once they get to the registration screen.
  • Would be members in Mindanao are not finding their respective areas for regisrtration e.g. General Santos

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

can the ads by google (the one with the firefox logo) be moved to the bottom or the side of the of the posts instead of the top, it can really be annoying at times to have to scroll down everytime just to see a post. or maybe i'm just lazy 😛

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

some of the problems seems to be bandwidth issues or webhost issues...sana you get a better host (if possible)... like perhaps yung current webhost ng Tsikot.com

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

Is this forum/site owned by Robinson's Handyman store?

if yes, sana they advertise their product line up na rin (anyway kanila yung site).... deadlink yung 'the market place'

if not, sana the website owners' also invite other suppliers to advertise their wares here....(like sa homedepot area in j. vargas st. na napakaraming store choices).

malimit mag expire ang session ko samantalang naka forever ang log ko.

I do experience this, especially when I am composing my message. After posting, I would get the message that I am not login.

Can a thread starter edit the title thread? I can only edit the message text.
