Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

I do experience this, especially when I am composing my message. After posting, I would get the message that I am not login.

Can a thread starter edit the title thread? I can only edit the message text.

Like wise with me, I do experience being logged out even though I am not logging out yet
specially when I'm composing my replies. Minsan nga napapamura ako sa computer or system na ginagamit ng PHM:mad:

My son who is kindda techi with computers told me that this occurence could be probably a safety or security measure in the program. Its some sort of a security feature for the user or computer. [ I think!!! ]

I have had this problem with several sites as well Rosy, often happens when I write long replies and once I submit, it re-logs in and everything is lost. huhuhu such a pain, one way to work around it is save it sa clipboard or notepad especially the long replies. at least if it misses the first time, you have a back-up.
We will try to do what we can, but was told it had something to do with bandwidth. and since PHM is free and doesn't earn, it is quite difficult to justify spending more for the owner. If we can only get some sponsors then all can be better...

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

malimit mag expire ang session ko samantalang naka forever ang log ko.

The Session Timeout is set at 900 seconds (or 15 minutes). This is the time in seconds that a user must remain inactive before their login session expires. This is a security measure in cases of users using public computers (cafes, libraries, etc.)

Anyway, i adjusted this upwards to 3,600 seconds (or one hour). Make sure you change pages, submit replies or go to other areas of the website within the hour. After an hour, you login session will expire if there is no activity whatsoever.

Hi sir timber, I'm glad that you were able to read my post regarding this matter and I thoght I was missing some things or doing something wrong in submitting my postings. Am glad not the only one.

Anyway I have found a way to make sure my posts will not suddenly disappear or for sure my postings will come out and be accepted by the system.

I would just click the mouse on the right side, click select all then click again to copy all the try to submit reply, if it does not accept then I simply re log in and wait for the message board then click copy paste then submit reply, and for sure it works

Thanks timber for the support

good idea, sir rosy. actually, ginagawa ko na din yan. kasi yung ibang sinalihan kong online message boards ganun din. may time out din. so nagkacopy and paste na muna ako sa notepad, esp pag mahaba ang message.

Sir Timber (admins et al)

Just observed this week na parang super bagal po ang site.
Yung domain name po na PINOYHANDYMAN.COM eh nagexpire na po 10-Jun-11 under GoDaddy.com.

Or is it just my connection???

thanks

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

Experienced This too up to today, nakakailang refresh ako. Minsan ayaw mag load talaga. Akala ko connection problem, but it's not since other sites I tried are ok naman.

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

Mods, how about a subdirectory for WIPS?

Dumb mistakes will always be dumb mistakes, unless . . . . you learn from it, and then it will be learning experience.

Re: Pinoyhandyman Feedback Thread

The site seems to have aproblem when being browsed in an iPhone or iPad version. The "Normal Version" button seems not to be working.

Also, it would be better if the site could also be added to the Touch BB Lite version. I think running a script is all it needs as vBulletin is adaptable to Touch BB.
