Re: Hearing Protection

Please advise when you get info on the plugs. So many gears to wear already and it's really a necessary nuisance.

I believe Wyler has the Peltor H10A but have not inquired about the price. Checking the amazon price I'm sure it will not be cheap locally.

Re: Hearing Protection

As far as I remember, there was an old talk about this on the TPC thread. It was actually a store that sells 3M respirators and such so surely there would also be options for hearing protections. I'm just not sure if it was moji who was looking then for a set.

I was actually searching for it in the other thread but the search function there wasn't just as easy to use thus I cannot see the said conversation. I do hope timber and moji would be able to recall that.

Re: Hearing Protection

From Wyler website, it looks like they have Peltor. If anyone gets prices, I would also like to know. I would not hesitate to get Peltor in the $10-$20 or so range. I still have Peltor bought in mid 1990s (?) and it is still as comfortable and foam/cushion/etc. in good condition as when new.

The model number may have been different ~15 years ago but it looks like this H6A/V, but folding:

Re: Hearing Protection

True to form I of course use the the cheap ones: ear muffs and plugs. Well actually although I have them I don't use them unless I'm going to be grinding all day. The plugs I only got recently from Hans Tools.

Re: Hearing Protection

Grinding I can still survive. It's the hammering of metal on the anvil that drives me really crazy. I'll use rolled cotton for now until I get to visit the shops selling hearing protection.

Re: Hearing Protection

This is what I got for now. Howard Leight Max earplugs w/ cord. Unfortunately the dealer had only 1 on stock.

Looks like the Peltor H10A is a good product. Check the number of amazon reviews.
