Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

V, I have a similar one of this face shield too and also bought it cheap but what the heck even though its cheap, it has been very very effective for me specially when grinding metals and removing slags after each welding sessions. 😉 Brand is Lotus and got it at a DIY Shop store near us.

But I have one too like Ryobi's and Jay, bought it online too recently though I haven't used it yet kasi baka magasgas, ninanamnam ko palang sya, its really a very nice face shield which was highly recommended by bro JayL. I'll post it later with other newly purchased tools on the other thread, I think you should have one too of this kind. LOL :p

Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

Everyone, a bit of advice: Tuck in your shirt when working with spinning tools.

I was wearing a loose Tshirt and was power-planing a long plank. You can imagine I'd plane the whole length then step back for another cycle without switching off the planer. On the step back, the bottom of my shirt was sucked into the planer. Fortunately, the planer jammed before pulling in more of me.

naalala ko tuloy ,
when my fingertip was cut by a spinning sawblade
makakantyawan na naman ako nyan ni timber ...

as much as possible hold your hand held power tools as far back and away from the body...
avoid loose shirt, especially those loose long sleeves.
good thing brad your not scratched...

Yes bros ... safety is first and everyone's concern. Glad all was well.

Thanks for the basic advise. I'm guilty of this loose t shirt wearing while working on power tools too.

Re: Workshop Safety Work Wears

Got these yesterday and put them to use immediately. Best gloves I ever used. Well, I don't have much to compare on. Been using the locally available loose leather gloves which keep getting sawdust inside. These ones are comfortable and maintains agility of my fingers.

...really like to try the framer gloves, is this the large size? how long have you been using it? do they really expand a little after a time? sorry daming tanong. hehehe... hit or miss kasi ang sizes pag order online e. i tried ordering a pair of the m-pact model muna, and pray it fits nicely:D

...:thanks:
